We are looking for a Customer Success Security Specialist with deep expertise in security, governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) to support our Customer Success team. Unlike a traditional Customer Success Manager (CSM), this role is highly technical and advisory, ensuring our customers successfully implement and optimize Egnyte’s Secure & Govern (S&G) solutions.
You will work closely with customers to understand their security and compliance requirements, assist with solution design, troubleshoot technical issues, and provide best practices for data security and regulatory compliance. This role is not sales-focused but rather a trusted security advisor to our customers.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Act as a technical expert in security, compliance, and governance for customers using Egnyte’s Secure & Govern (S&G) solutions.
- Guide customers through best practices for data security, governance, risk management, and compliance frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, PCI-DSS, GDPR, HIPAA).
- Partner with Customer Success Managers (CSMs) and Account Teams to ensure customers derive maximum security value from Egnyte’s products.
- Conduct technical deep-dives, product demonstrations, and hands-on solutioning for customers.
- Help customers map Egnyte’s security capabilities to their regulatory and compliance requirements.
- Troubleshoot security-related configuration and implementation challenges within Egnyte.
- Develop technical documentation, playbooks, and best practices for common security and compliance use cases.
- Stay up to date on industry regulations, compliance standards, and evolving security threats.
YOUR QUALIFICATION
- 4+ years of experience in security, compliance, or governance-related roles (e.g., Security Engineer, GRC Analyst, Compliance Consultant, Solutions Architect).
- Excellent understanding of data governance, risk management, compliance, content classification, remediation processes, regulated and unregulated data.
- Experience working with GRC tools such as Archer IRM, OneTrust, Vanta, or similar.
- Strong knowledge of Data Loss Prevention (DLP), security controls, identity and access management (IAM), and cloud security.
- Security certifications such as CISSP, CISA, CISM, CRISC, GCIH are a strong plus.
- Experience discussing security policies, procedures, and solutions with customer stakeholders pertaining to content/data
- Strong experience in customer-facing solution implementation roles (remote and onsite).
- Excellent customer engagement, presentation, and communication skills
- Fluency of spoken and written command of English. Any other language is a plus.
- A team player capable of high performance and flexibility working in a dynamic environment.
- Bachelor’s degree
- 8+ years of relevant technical and customer supporting functional experience
- Ability to work US EST hours on a daily basis
