About the job

Avataar.ai is looking to hire a sharp, personable, highly organized Technical Designers to take ownership of various project deliveries. This is an opportunity to work with a stellar 3D apparel team and gain first-hand experience in delivering a world class product experience.

The position will be based in Bangalore, where you will be a part of the 3D Apparel team and will report to the Team Lead - 3D Apparel.

About The Role:

As a Technical Designer, you will be responsible for creating 3D garments in CLO3D which accurately represent the actual garment & follows all the guidelines defined in the tech pack

What will you do:

Import and sew DXF patterns in CLO3D, ensuring accuracy in seam and construction details.

Drape and fit garments on avatars in CLO3D, ensuring realistic movement, fit, and behaviour that aligns with design intent.

Apply, adjust, and enhance fabrics using materials and other resources to achieve accurate texture and physical properties.

Apply, adjust & enhance trims, topstitches, and artworks to achieve accurate representation of the garment.

Conduct detailed garment simulations to assess fit, comfort, and garment dynamics, making adjustments to improve performance and appearance.

Ensure tech pack specifications are accurately represented and integrated into virtual garments.

Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to garment fit, fabric simulation, and pattern discrepancies.

Stay abreast of the latest advancements in CLO3D technology and virtual garment simulation techniques.

What we look for:

Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design, Apparel Technology, or a related field.

Hands-on experience with CLO3D

Proven expertise in creating and manipulating 3D garment simulations with a thorough understanding of virtual fabric behaviour.

Expertise in garment construction, pattern modification, and material properties.

Well-versed with the jargons and vocabulary used in the fashion industry.

Skills you should have:

Expert-level proficiency in CLO3D, including pattern sewing, draping, fabric enhancement techniques, and detailed simulations.

Proficiency in working with Zfab materials and colour palettes for realistic garment representation.

Excellent problem-solving skills with a meticulous approach to detail and accuracy in virtual garment design.

Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams and address feedback.
