Job Description

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. Responsibilities include providing software development and project management, cross-functional coordination, and communication to deliver outstanding program outcomes. You will work with Software Engineers, QA, Product Managers, and other engineering teams to deliver high-quality products and features throughout the software project lifecycle. You'll manage project schedules, identify potential issues, and communicate them to stakeholders. Leading several technical programs for Google Cloud Business, setting priorities, leading cross-functional teams to market, and ensuring success metrics inform future efforts are also key responsibilities.

  • 5+ years program management experience

Job Details


Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in program management.
  • 5 years of experience in cloud computing emerging technologies or related technical fields.
  • Experience with Kubernetes.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master’s degree, PhD, or equivalent experience in Engineering, Computer Science, or other technical related field.
  • 5 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
  • Experience working across a distributed and integrated team composed of both technical and non-technical members.
  • Experience in SQL and scripting.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $156,000-$229,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Provide software development and project management, cross-functional coordination, and communicate to deliver outstanding program outcomes.
  • Work with Software Engineers, QA, Product Managers and other engineering teams to get high-quality products and features through the software project lifecycle (e.g., build, test, and release on time).
  • Manage project schedules, identify possible issues, and communicate them to project stakeholders.
  • Take responsibility for release schedules and milestones, and keep up in a fast-paced environment.
  • Lead several technical programs for the Google Cloud Business, set priorities for products and engineering, lead cross-functional teams to take products to market, and ensure success metrics are informing future efforts.
