thatgamecompany is looking for an experienced Technical Project Manager to support our flagship title Sky: Children of the Light, by planning and managing cloud-based projects from start to finish. Our cloud platforms are the core technology supporting our current and future game titles, as well as enabling our company to live-operate Sky: Children of Light with millions of active users generating terabytes of data per day.
As a TPM, you will report to the Senior Product Manager, managing multiple technical projects for cloud operations that serve millions of players and internal customers.
Project Management
Serve as the point of contact for DevOps requests, and coordinate triage, assignment, and status reporting of DevOps requests from multiple teams and cross-departmental stakeholders
Facilitate recurring project team meetings for task planning, reviews, retrospectives, and backlog management
Manage collaboration with third-party technology vendors and contractors
Ensure project tasks are scoped appropriately and delivered on-time
Anticipate, identify, communicate, and help resolve risks and issues that may compromise quality and/or schedule
Provide regular updates and progress reports to management and engineering teams
Seek feedback from stakeholders, customers and peers, and provide feedback and encouragement to team members
Maintain a high level of quality of all tasks and deliverables
Project Planning
Work closely with the CIO, project managers, and technical leads to create a strong long term vision planning and roadmap for the ITS department
Work with teams to build and refine processes that:
Enhance cross-functional collaboration
Foster sustainable development practices
Contribute to thatgamecompany’s unique culture and vision
3+ years of cloud project management experience
Experience with cloud infrastructure technologies and engineering processes
Expertise with information security and secure engineering practices
Strong communication skills and ability to design and facilitate sessions that lead to clear outcomes
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive and adaptable approach to dynamic challenges
Experience creating detailed documentation
Experience with Atlassian Development and Collaboration Tools
Experience with managing Kubernetes-based infrastructure projects
Experience with Sky: Children of the Light and its community
Experience in cloud project management in mobile, free-to-play, or live-service games

The salary range for this position is $120,000 USD to $150,000 USD annually, with the opportunity to earn an annual discretionary bonus. This salary range is an estimate, and the actual salary may vary based on the Company’s compensation practices.
