The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing complex projects in fast-paced startup environments, a strong understanding of financial technology and UPI/payments, and excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
Must have:

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Program Manager to join our UPI Team at Paytm. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing complex, cross-functional projects and working directly with senior leadership in fast-paced startup environments. This role will be instrumental in driving key strategic initiatives and ensuring operational excellence across our UPI ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
● Drive and track the execution of strategic UPI initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and timelines
● Prepare and present comprehensive status reports to senior management, providing clear visibility on project progress, risks, and mitigation strategies
● Lead system performance improvement initiatives with partner banks, identifying optimization opportunities and implementing solutions
● Oversee the timely delivery of compliance and risk-related projects, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements
● Develop and maintain robust tracking mechanisms for project timelines, deliverables and key performance indicators
● Facilitate cross-functional collaboration between technical teams, business stakeholders and external partners
● Identify process inefficiencies and implement standardized practices to improve operational effectiveness
● Manage stakeholder communications and expectations at all levels of the organization
● Planning team engagement and offsites.
Required Qualifications
● 4-5 years of experience in CEO office, Founder office, or similar strategic roles within fast-growing startups
● Proven track record of successfully managing complex, high-impact projects
● Understanding of financial technology, preferably with exposure to UPI/payments ecosystem will be preferred
● Excellence in stakeholder management and executive communication
● Bachelors degree in Business, Engineering, or related field (MBA preferred)
● Experience in working with banking partners and understanding of regulatory
compliance frameworks will be preferred

● Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities
● Proficiency in project management tools and data visualization.
