Job Description

The UI Technical Lead will design, develop, implement, and support performant, scalable software solutions for Darwin. Responsibilities include mentoring team members, collaborating with architects and engineers, leading code reviews, and ensuring technical standards are met. The role requires gathering and understanding solution requirements, providing technical guidance, and advocating best practices. The candidate will also troubleshoot issues and recommend code improvements. The team champions agile practices and collaborates with the MMC Technology community.

Description:

We are seeking a talented UI Technical Lead individual to join our team at Marsh McLennan and will be responsible for the design, development, implementation, and support of performant, highly scalable software solutions Darwin. This role will be based in Cluj-Napoca, Romania as part of our local Darwin Team.
 

We will count on you to:

  • Produce detailed technical design for enterprise applications and implement technical solutions using modern technology stacks
  • Mentor and coach team members to help them improve their technical skills and reach their full potential
  • Work closely with solution architect, developers, engineers, DBAs, etc
  • Provide leadership not just in terms of technical expertise but also in coordinating all aspects of the technical implementation. They ensure the team stays aligned with the architectural goals and that any deviations are properly assessed
  • Lead or participate in code reviews to ensure that the code meets the defined technical standards and adheres to architectural designs
  • Act as a technical resource for the project team to resolve technical challenges and guide troubleshooting efforts
  • Ensure that solution requirements are gathered accurately, understood, and that all stakeholders have transparency on impacts 
  • Perform coding to written Agile stories with unit tests adhering to coding standards and guidelines 
  • Provide technical guidance to one or more engineers and act as a role model for your peer group 
  • Advocate best practices and concepts within your organization 
  • Work closely with your peers as a mechanism of continuous improvement 
  • Champion good agile practices that are foundational to product delivery 
  • Be an involved member of the MMC Technology community – contribute, collaborate, and learn 
  • Build strong relationships with product owners, solutions architects, analysts and pod leadership 
  • Work with state-of-the-art technologies to solve genuine, real-world problems 
  • Troubleshoot and resolved development issues 
  • Recommend and execute code improvements based on current solutions 

What you need to have:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Romanian and English with the ability to effectively convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders  
  • Proven track record of designing scalable and high-performance UI architectures. Deep understanding of software design principles, design patterns, and architectural best practices.  
  • Experience working with Agile, Lean and Continuous Delivery approaches such as Continuous Integration, Test-Driven Development and Infrastructure as Code  
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex technical challenges and propose effective solutions.  
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment and lead cross-functional teams towards a common technical vision.  
  • Experience as a technical lead

Your Technical Skills:  

  • Extensive experience in the following: Angular, .NET, Less(Sass), gRPC  
  • Experience implementing solutions utilizing Full-Stack technologies ( C#, JSON, REST API)  
  • Experience with Unit Testing and Integration Testing is also essential  
  • Experience with the following middleware is desirable RabbitMQ, MSMQ, MassTransit  
  • Experience with container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes  
  • Strong experience working with an ORM Framework including the use of TSQL and NOSQL databases such as MSSQL and MongoDB  
  • Strong Knowledge of SDLC processes and practices   
  • Experience designing and deploying applications on AWS
