Spatial's Animal Company seeks a Unity Gameplay Engineer (remote, contract or full-time). Responsibilities include implementing new gameplay features (game modes, monsters, items), optimizing graphics and CPU performance, fixing bugs, implementing new systems (player moderation, asset loading), creating gameplay for monthly events, and collaborating with artists. The ideal candidate will be proficient in Unity, C#, or C++, possess a strong understanding of object-oriented design, 3D vector math, and data structures. Entry-level applicants are welcome with a strong portfolio demonstrating proficiency in Unity.
Good To Have:- Modern graphics, shaders, asset pipeline understanding
- XR, web/mobile game experience
- 3D modeling tools (Blender, 3ds Max, Maya)
- Multiplayer frameworks (Photon)
- VR games ecosystem knowledge
