As a Marketing Associate on the Vascular team, you will support the planning, development, and execution of ongoing marketing efforts for Penumbra's products and subsidiaries, aligning with corporate goals. This role involves providing product and market insights to inform campaigns and messaging, requiring comfort with data analysis. The associate will focus on marketing efforts with the most impact on the customer community. Responsibilities include creating marketing materials, identifying opportunities for customer acquisition and retention, analyzing customer behavior data, communicating insights to stakeholders, conducting competitive research, and performing market research for new markets. The role demands the ability to translate complex information into actionable recommendations, adhering to quality and compliance standards.

Job Details

As a Marketing Associate on the Vascular team, you will support the planning, development, and execution of the ongoing marketing efforts for products by Penumbra and its subsidiaries in a manner that is consistent with Penumbra’s corporate goals.  The Marketing Associate is responsible for providing product and market insights that will help inform campaigns and messaging.  To be successful in this role, the associate should be comfortable with processing and analyzing varying volumes of data.  The associate will help ensure we focus our marketing efforts and campaigns in the areas that will have the most impact on our customer community.   What You’ll Work On • Assist product marketing teams with creating new marketing literature and sales support tools and videos that best position and promote the assigned product line to its customers • Work closely with product marketing teams to identify opportunities for new customer acquisition and existing customer growth and retention, and to determine appropriate criteria for product insights  • Identify, analyze, and interpret trends and patterns in customer behavior data sets of varying size and complexity   • Communicate customer/product insights, segmentation, and other learnings to stakeholders including product marketing and sales teams and corporate strategy  • Perform deep-dive analysis to understand drivers of marketing performance to shape ongoing and future campaigns  • Develops and shares key strategic insights through data analysis and visualization  • Conduct competitive research and analyze benchmarking data  • Perform market research focused on identifying new markets, helping prioritize market launch cadence based on geography and local market dynamics  • Take complex ideas and information and translate these into an understandable and actionable set of recommendations and findings  • Adhere to the Company’s Quality Management System (QMS) as well as domestic and global quality system regulations, standards, and procedures. • Understand relevant security, privacy and compliance principles and adhere to the regulations, standards, and procedures that are applicable to the Company. • Ensure other members of the department follow the QMS, regulations, standards, and procedures. • Perform other work-related duties as assigned   What You Contribute • Bachelor's degree with 1+ year of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience  • MBA preferred   • Good knowledge of MS Excel and Analytics software (Tableau, Salesforce, etc.), Analytical abilities preferred  • Strong oral, written and interpersonal communication skills, a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail, and proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other standard office tools are required   • Ability to coordinate remotely via audio/video conferencing   • Excellent organizational, time management and prioritization skills   • Ability to interact with team members and customers (internal and external) in a professional manner   • Ability to set and maintain project delivery timelines with regular updates to key stakeholders   • Must be creative, self-motivated, team-oriented, proactive, intuitive, organized, collaborative, and flexible     Working Conditions General office environment. May have business travel from 50%+ (U.S. and international), including weekends. Potential exposure to blood-borne pathogens. Requires some lifting and moving of up to 50 pounds. Must be able to move between buildings and floors. Must be able to remain stationary and use a computer or other standard office equipment, such as a printer or copy machine, for an extensive period of time each day. Must be able to read, prepare emails, and produce documents and spreadsheets. Must be able to move within the office and access file cabinets or supplies, as needed. Must be able to communicate and exchange accurate information with employees at all levels on a daily basis.   Annual Base Salary Range:  $70,000 - $100,000     We offer a competitive compensation package plus a benefits and equity program, when applicable.  Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies, and work location.
