Job Description

This Account Executive role at Google Cloud focuses on serving small and medium businesses in Japan. Responsibilities include managing sales opportunities, building client relationships, and driving business development. You will work with cross-functional teams, including Customer Engineers and Google Cloud Partners, to deliver Google Cloud solutions that improve productivity, mobility, and collaboration. The ideal candidate is fluent in Japanese and English, possesses strong sales and technical acumen, and has experience in the cloud computing industry. You will be responsible for meeting sales goals, providing exceptional customer service, and contributing to the overall growth of Google Cloud's market share. This role requires strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
Must have:
  • 4+ years sales/account management experience
  • Fluent in Japanese and English
  • Cloud (SaaS, PaaS, IaaS) experience
  • New business acquisition skills
  • Customer relationship management
Good to have:
  • Experience with Google Cloud Platform
  • CRM system experience (Salesforce)
  • Channel partner collaboration experience
  • On-premise to cloud transition experience

Job Details


Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4 years of experience in one or more of the following: sales, client relationship, or account management.
  • Experience in new business acquisition, including in the Cloud, SaaS, Paas, or IaaS industry.
  • Ability to communicate in Japanese and English fluently as this is a customer-facing role that requires interactions in Japanese and English with local stakeholders.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience promoting solutions to help businesses transition from on-premise to the cloud.
  • Experience in technical or sales in Cloud, Technology, Computer Science or Information Systems.
  • Experience in technology and cloud computing market, and a passion for Google Cloud products (e.g., Google Workspace, Google Cloud Platform, etc.).
  • Experience using CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, etc.).
  • Experience collaborating/co-promoting with channel partners in the market.

You will maintain relationships with clients and work cross-functionally to devise solutions and support for Google's clients. You will meet customers and provide them with the best solutions for innovation. You will have understanding of sales, technology, and strategy. You will communicate with customers and partners, discussing and advocating for the value of Google Cloud solutions. You will collaborate with many customers and partners everyday, and have ideas to improve our product or enhance the customer experience.

Responsibilities

  • Manage opportunities through the entire cycle, working with cross-functional teams as necessary, and serve as the primary customer contact for all adoption-related activities.
  • Deliver assigned goals while prioritizing an outstanding customer experience to customers and prospects.
  • Drive business development, forecast, and achieve goals by leading customers through the entire business cycle.
  • Work with Customer Engineers and trusted Google Cloud Partners as a critical member of the Sales team to grow opportunities with small and medium businesses.
  • Engage and implement regional strategy to support the growth goals.
