Job Summary

Job Description

The Startup Success Manager at Google Cloud will manage a team, ensuring successful customer engagements with early and mid-stage startups. Responsibilities include defining and building effective programs for customer engagement and Google Cloud adoption, accelerating customer adoption through partnerships with sales and product teams, communicating with startup leadership (Founders, CEOs, Boards), refining Google Cloud messaging for startups, and supporting the team's customer interactions. The role requires fluency in English and Spanish for client relationship management in the specified region. This position is crucial in shaping how businesses utilize technology to connect with customers, employees, and partners within the rapidly growing Google Cloud ecosystem.
Must have:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years in business technology sales or customer success
  • Experience with startups/digital native companies
  • Fluent in English and Spanish
  • Manage a team of Startup Success Managers
  • Build and execute effective customer engagement programs
Good to have:
  • Experience leading Customer Success/Sales teams
  • Startup landscape experience
  • Knowledge of Cloud technology and Google Cloud value proposition
  • Ability to work in ambiguous environments
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills

Job Details

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience in a business technology sales or customer success role.
  • Experience selling to, and supporting, startups or digital native companies.
  • Ability to communicate in English and Spanish fluently to support client relationship management in this region.


Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience leading Customer Success, Support, or Sales teams.
  • Experience in the startup landscape.
  • Knowledge of Cloud technology, and ability to articulate the Google Cloud value proposition.
  • Ability to work in ambiguous environments and willingness to test and iterate different engagement and business methods.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to influence stakeholders internally and externally.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a team of Startup Success Managers, support their customer engagements and ensure success with early and mid-stage startups.
  • Define and build programs that can be executed effectively and efficiently, deliver excellent customer engagement and Google Cloud adoption.
  • Accelerate customer adoption through well-developed engagements, partnering with technical sellers, product teams, and the extended sales team.
  • Communicate and engage with Founders, Chief Experience Officers, and Boards of Directors of startups.
  • Articulate and refine the Google Cloud message to startups.
