As an Associate Creative Director, you will lead the creative team, focusing on innovative messaging and design. Your responsibilities include project management, collaborating with others, and presenting story ideas. You will write original content for various platforms, develop concepts, and understand the client's business. You will also manage junior creative roles and contribute to client relationships. The role requires a strong writing background and the ability to define tone and voice. You will also be required to communicate with clients regularly and ensure projects meet expectations and brand integrity. This role uses its advanced writing background to assist in leading the creative team to produce content incorporating innovative messaging along with targeted design; focused on copy content (story, tone and message). This role is a hands-on professional with the ability to apply his/her advanced knowledge of the client’s market, organizational goals and strategies to execute on story and/or design through appropriate technology.
Must have:
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience.
  • Experience driving messaging direction for a team.
  • Experience in project management.
  • Excellent collaboration and presentation skills.
  • Conceptual thinker for problem-solving and prioritizing stories.
  • Confident and professional communication skills.
  • Attention to detail in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Proficiency in hardware and software (MS Office, Adobe CS).

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

•       Bachelor’s degree in a related field. A combination of education and/or work experience may be substituted

•       Minimum of 5 years’ experience

•       Demonstrated experience driving messaging direction for a team

•       Demonstrated experience in project management

•       Excellent ability to collaborate with others and present story ideas for successful adoption

•       Conceptual thinker who can brainstorm to solve problems and identify story priorities for execution against strict quality or brand standards

•       Confident and professional communicator at all levels of an organization

•       Excellent attention to detail in deadline driven, pressured environment

•       Hardware and Software proficient (MS Office, Adobe CS)

•       Advanced writer, able to define tone of voice and understand the client’s story to create innovative messaging.

  

JOB DUTIES

(* denotes an “essential function”)

•       * Creatively and technically manages projects across appropriate team members and client contacts

•       * Leverages creative experience and advanced knowledge of writing and editing copy to cultivate innovative messaging from ideation to execution and delivery

•       *Write original content for: advertisements, collateral, direct mail, out-of-home, videos, and digital assets such as landing pages, websites and interactive/static banner ads and understand the nuances of writing effectively for each medium.

•       *Use creative vision to create original concepts and develop a variety of tactical ideas around a chosen theme.

•       *Write persuasively and be able to effectively and strategically defend the creative vision.

•       *Develop a thorough understanding of the client’s business to understand each product, service offering and target audience.

•       * Regularly communicates with clients to ensure projects meet expectations

•       * Consults with the client throughout the lifecycle of each project to develop and produce an end-result that meets brand integrity and marketing objectives

•       * Manages the day to day operation of more junior creative production roles, focusing on story and tone of voice, to successfully incorporate messaging with design

•       Provides service that maintains and develops client relationships

•       Willing to explore new ideas as they relate to increasing client engagement and retention.

•       Contributes to best practices through documentation and knowledge sharing
