Job Description

The Capture Leader will analyze, structure, and technically evaluate customer requirements, focusing on swarm capability, networking, and interoperability. This role involves developing and implementing capture strategies, managing internal and external expert teams for technical solution concepts in unmanned water vehicles, sensor, command, and weapon technologies. Close collaboration with maritime innovation partners is key, along with integrating new market-available technologies like AI and real-time data fusion. The leader will identify and integrate proven systems from Navy test campaigns, present solutions to stakeholders, and ensure compliance with technical, safety, and operational requirements, supporting risk, cost, and schedule management.
Must have:
  • Analyze and evaluate customer requirements for swarm capability, networking, and interoperability.
  • Develop and implement capture strategies considering operational conditions.
  • Manage expert teams for technical solution concepts in unmanned water vehicles, sensor, command, and weapon technologies.
  • Collaborate closely with maritime innovation partners.
  • Integrate new market-available technologies into bid architecture.
  • Identify and integrate proven systems from Navy test campaigns.
  • Present and technically defend system solutions to customer committees.
  • Ensure compliance with technical, safety, and operational requirements.
  • Support risk management, cost, and schedule monitoring.

Your Mission

  • Analysis, structuring, and technical evaluation of customer requirements, especially regarding swarm capability, networking, and interoperability (human-machine operations)
  • Development and implementation of a capture strategy considering operational real conditions (Operational Experimentation)
  • Management of internal and external expert teams for the development of technical solution concepts in the field of unmanned water vehicles, sensor technology, command, and weapon technologies
  • Close cooperation with maritime innovation partners (shipyards, start-ups, international technology providers)
  • Integration of new market-available technologies into the bid architecture (e.g., Artificial Intelligence, real-time data fusion, secure communication networks)
  • Identification, evaluation, and integration of proven systems and experimental solutions from ongoing Navy test campaigns
  • Presentation and technical defense of the system solution to customer committees and project partners
  • Ensuring compliance with technical, safety, and operational requirements, as well as support for risk management, cost, and schedule monitoring

What we look forward to

  • Completed degree in a technical field (e.g., Systems Engineering, Shipbuilding, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or comparable)
  • Extensive experience in the development or integration of complex (maritime) systems, ideally in the field of unmanned platforms, sensor technology, or command/weapon technology
  • Proven competence in technical project management, especially in an innovation or prototype environment (Operational Experimentation, Rapid Prototyping)
  • Profound knowledge in managing interdisciplinary development teams (Systems Engineering, Architecture, Integration, Test & Validation)
  • Confident demeanor and excellent coordination skills with partners, customers, and authorities in an international environment
  • Innovation and solution orientation, initiative, and excellent analytical skills
  • Very good German and English language skills, both written and spoken
