Job Description

As a Community Manager at Milestone Systems, you'll be instrumental in building a responsible video data library using machine learning. Your responsibilities include developing and implementing strategic community plans, fostering engagement through online and offline events, building relationships with developers and end-customers, and communicating community insights to stakeholders. You'll act as a liaison and moderator, proactively engaging with members to understand their needs and provide support. This role requires strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills, along with experience using community management platforms and tools. The initial focus will be on the US and EU markets, requiring comfort working across those time zones. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in community management, proven project leadership, and proficiency in project management.

Community Manager (Responsible Technology)

 

Are you eager to be at the forefront of innovation? One of the biggest challenges and opportunities with artificial intelligence is around the data used to train AI models, and how to do that responsibly and ethically whilst protecting privacy and rights.

We now seek a versatile Community Manager which is a pivotal role that drives aims to harness the power of machine learning within the realm of video data. Our mission is to build a responsible video data library data based on compliant, annotated and ethically sourced video data. Community members will get direct access to the product development team and an incredible network of video analytics solution developers, partners, and customers.

You will join a leading, global provider of video management software and be part of our innovative and entrepreneurial development team. You will leverage your expertise to deliver while ensuring compliance, top user experience and quality standards.

 

Your Responsibilities:

  • Community Facilitation: Develop and implement strategic community plans that align with the company's objectives. Facilitate online community engagement and events
  • Relationship Building: Build strong relationships with community members, including developers and end-customers. Act as a liaison, manager, and moderator between community members
  • Event Management: Organize and manage community events, both online and offline, to foster shared learning and collaboration opportunities
  • Communication: Communicate community insights and progress to stakeholders across the organization, including executive leadership
  • Proactive Engagement: Actively engage with community members to understand their needs and provide support. Signpost questions and requests to the appropriate team members

Are you the right candidate?

Technical Skills:

  • Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across diverse teams
  • Organizational Skills: Highly organized and proactive, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
  • Tech Literacy: Comfortable working in software/data and experience of community building and facilitation. Slack, Teams, Jira, and other community and communications tools.
  • Creative Thinking: Strategic thinker with a creative problem-solving approach and a strong analytical mindset

Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience in community management, with a proven track record of leading projects
  • Proficient in project management with outstanding communication and teamwork abilities
  • Experience using community management platforms and tools
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the capacity to thrive in a fast-paced, agile environment

Ideally, your base will be within regular travelling distance of our HQ in Copenhagen or our Madrid office but if you are the right profile, other options are possible. Please note that the focus of the community initially will be in the US and EU so need to be comfortable working covering these time zones.
