Creative Associate, Series, Benelux

The Role 
We are seeking a Creative Associate with significant development experience and in-depth knowledge of the Dutch/Belgian creative industry.

As a critical team member, you'll support managers and directors in the Benelux series team, contributing to the development and delivery of the original series and films. Key Responsibilities
Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Serve as the main point of contact, sharing internal updates with cross-functional teams and liaising externally with production companies, producers, writers, and directors regarding incoming pitches, writing schedules, and other related matters.

• Be responsible for the input of production data, such as pitches and submissions, writing schedule dates, talent pool data, into our internal systems

• Read along incoming submissions and either write a pass email or share thoughts with another content executive

• Attend notes calls and production kick-off meetings and distribute notes and action points

• Summarize notes from the content executives and provide these to showrunners/creators/producers in a timely manner

• Monitor and update writing schedules, delivery dates, and key production milestones.

• Collaborate with internal Netflix teams, including Production Management, Post Management, Legal, Product, Marketing, PR, and the IP team.

• Support creative leads by preparing presentations using Google Slides, maintain meeting agendas, and manage cross-functional workflows, information flow, and memos.

• Prepare reading lists for the content executives

• Maintain lists - e.g. writer, director, and actor lists for projects

• Help the team focus on talent relations, by organizing talent gifting. 

• Support Team Leaders with ad hoc projects such as organizing and supporting events.

• Work collaboratively with Creative Assistants and Production Coordinators in our wider EMEA teams.

• Deepen knowledge of the industry: talent, producers, creators, etc.

Experience

• Scripted content experience, ideally as a Development Executive or Producer / Junior Producer. 

• 2+ years of Production experience, understanding the practical and logistical aspects of bringing a screenplay to the screen.

• In-depth knowledge of screenwriting, with a keen sense of screenplay structure, character, and analysis.

• Extensive knowledge of the Dutch creative landscape, with a robust network within the creative community.

• Ability to handle a fast-paced environment, simultaneously assisting and/or supervising several projects in various phases of development and production (from evaluation to production through delivery)

• Adaptability and the capacity to juggle a high volume of work in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.

• Strong communicator, able to partner with writers and convey notes clearly and tactfully

• Language ability - Fluent in both Dutch and English. 

• Willingness to be innovative, bold,  take educated risks and think out of the box
