Creative Strategist

We are currently looking for a Creative Strategist to add to our dynamic team.
Ziff Davis Shopping is looking for a Creative Strategist to join our content marketing team. The ideal candidate is a collaborative senior graphic designer with user experience chops and is comfortable working with autonomy under strict deadlines. This role will mainly support our branded content team pre- and post-sale, but will also have a hand at shaping the look-and-feel of RetailMeNot’s organic editorial, blog and social collateral promoting the blog/articles, and internal and external presentations.
You will collaborate with the branded content lead and other channel stakeholders on crafting various types of creative for campaigns. You’ll be responsible for generating mockups and pitch decks for RFPs and ultimately executing on your vision when sold. You will also develop and execute sellable branded content solutions for proactive placements where design plays a big factor. You will manage and do the design work of custom experiences, like our Save the Date Calendar and Seasonal Style Guides, while acting as a brand champion for RetailMeNot and our partners.
Prior branded content and integrated marketing experience is a must. Experience creating interactive experiences in Ceros is also a major plus, as is a willingness to craft quick, quality designs in Canva. If you have deep knowledge of the competitive landscape, category disruptors, and the affiliate industry, even better!
As the Creative Strategist, you will report to the VP of Content of Ziff Davis Shopping with a dotted line to the Senior Director of Branded Content.
Key Responsibilities:
Set the design direction for pre-sale and post-sale pitches and campaigns.
Develop and execute innovative branded content placements and digital experiences across multiple platforms (such as Wordpress and Ceros) with a focus on user experience and engagement.
Accept feedback from stakeholders while providing creative solutions and changes to improve upon designs.
Manage creative roadmap and timelines for various projects and campaign deliverables, while applying feedback from stakeholders that ensures campaign goals and KPIs are met.
Analyze performance end-to-end of executed creative experiences, while working closely with key stakeholders on gathering data for internal and external reports.
Create campaign collateral (such as mockups, pitch decks, and frameworks) that guide creative execution.
Facilitate creative brainstorms to stimulate revenue-driving ideas and initiatives.
Own editorial slide library and creative suite aligned to brand guidelines.
Manage QA of experiences, and troubleshoot and solve problems as needed.
Requirements:
5+ years of relevant graphic design experience in digital
5+ years of experience in content marketing or branded content at a publisher or agency
A BA in graphic design
Process-driven with a passion for finding new ways to innovate and streamline
A natural project manager and multitasker
Platform proficiency in Ceros, Adobe Creative Suite, Wordpress, Canva, and Figma
Strong understanding of design principles, typography, and color theory
Problem-solving skills and ability to navigate strict deadlines
Demonstrated curiosity of digital and mobile shopping experiences
