World Relief is seeking a Data Management Technician to assist the student support manager in the smooth operation of data-dependent systems for the regional Adult Education program. Responsibilities include website and form updates, managing and automating interest and student data from enrollment to completion, processing data for grant reporting, and researching/implementing new data management systems. The role requires learning current systems, cross-training, and maintaining existing systems under supervision. This is a limited-term position funded through a grant until June 30, 2026, contingent upon funding extension.
Must have:
- At least one year of data management experience
- Expert in Excel
- Proficient in data collection processes
Good to have:
- Experience in automation
- Familiarity with formulas, tables, pivot tables
- Experience with cloud-based data management systems (preferably Microsoft Dynamics)
- Some web-design experience (HTML, CSS, JS a plus)
- Familiarity with Microsoft ecosystem (Microsoft Powerautomate a plus)
- Degree in a related field (TESOL, linguistics, education, computer programming)

ORGANIZATION SUMMARY

POSITION SUMMARY:
This role will assist the student support manager to facilitate the smooth operation of data-dependent systems for the regional Adult Education (AE) program across World Relief Chicagoland. This will include 1) website and form updates, 2) the management and automation of interest data generated by the community, 3) management and automation of student data from enrollment through the completion of class, 4) the processing of data as related to grant reporting, and 5) as a part of this, researching, experimenting with, implementing the use of new systems to manage and track data as needed.
This is a limited-term position funded through a grant agreement until June 30, 2026 and contingent upon funding extension.
ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Learn all of the current data management systems in place. Deeply understand the data management systems used by each team. Cross-train with the managers and other technicians with an eye to improvement and redundancy.
- Maintain current systems under the supervision of the Student Support Manager.
- Update information systems as needed.
- Assist other teams as directed.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Mature and personal Christian faith
- Committed to the mission, vision, and values of World Relief
- Desire to serve and empower the Church to impact vulnerable communities
- Able to affirm and/or acknowledge World Reliefs Core Beliefs, Statement of Faith, Christian Identity and National Evangelicals For the Health of The Nation document
- At least one year of experience in data management.
- Expert in Excel and data collection processes.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Loves learning and problem solving.
- Highly conscientious and detail oriented.
- Experience in automation preferred.
- Familiar with formulas, tables, pivot tables, etc.
- Has experience in some other cloud-based data management system, preferably Microsoft Dynamics.
- Some web-design experience. Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JS a plus.
- Familiarity and experience in using the entire Microsoft ecosystem. Experience with Microsoft Powerautomate a plus.
- Degree in related field (TESOL, linguistics, education, computer programming, etc.) preferred.
$24 - $26.50 an hour
