The Digital Analytics Specialist is a key role, enabling data-driven decision-making by maintaining the digital measurement infrastructure and delivering actionable insights. This role supports performance tracking across channels and websites and develops dashboards for internal use, ensuring data quality, privacy compliance, and consistency across markets. Responsibilities include defining and aligning digital KPIs, building and maintaining tracking infrastructure, developing dashboards, conducting tagging audits, delivering insight summaries, and monitoring regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate is technically skilled and business-minded, providing reports and recommendations to improve business performance.
Must have:
  • 3+ years of experience in digital analytics or performance marketing
  • Expertise in GA4, GTM, and data visualization tools
  • Familiarity with web tagging standards and QA techniques
  • Ability to translate data into insights for non-technical audiences
  • Strong understanding of GDPR and privacy-first tracking strategies
  • Fluent in English, written and spoken

We’re hiring for a Digital Analytics Specialist as part of Merkle in Sofia

Role Summary:

The Digital Analytics Specialist plays a key role in enabling data-driven decision-making by maintaining the digital measurement infrastructure and delivering actionable insights. This role supports performance tracking across channels and websites, develops dashboards for internal use, and ensures data quality, privacy compliance, and consistency across markets. The ideal candidate is both technically skilled and business-minded.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and align digital KPIs across departments and teams

  • Build and maintain tracking infrastructure using GA4, GTM, and related tools

  • Develop central dashboards for SEO, CRO, and general performance reporting

  • Conduct tagging audits and data validation on an ongoing basis

  • Deliver insight summaries with clear recommendations and trends

  • Monitor regulatory compliance and ensure best practices for privacy and data usage

Key Performance Indicators for this role include

  • Data accuracy and tagging completeness scores

  • Dashboard usage and adoption across teams

  • Number of insight reports delivered and acted on

  • Completion and follow-up on quarterly compliance audits

  • Contribution to overall performance visibility and continuous improvement

Skills and Experience

  • 3+ years of experience in digital analytics or performance marketing

  • Expertise in GA4, GTM, and data visualization tools (e.g., Looker Studio, Power BI)

  • Familiar with web tagging standards and QA techniques

  • Ability to translate data into insights and communicate to non-technical audiences

  • Strong understanding of GDPR and privacy-first tracking strategies

  • Fluent in English, written and spoken
