Role
- Provide strategic leadership and creative direction for the game design team, aligning their efforts with the company's vision and product roadmap
- Oversee the entire game design process, from concept to completion, ensuring the delivery of high-quality and engaging free-to-play mobile games
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to conceptualize, prototype, and iterate on game designs that deliver outstanding player experiences
- Effectively communicate design concepts and rationale to stakeholders at all levels, both internally and externally
- Establish and maintain best practices for game design processes, documentation, and knowledge-sharing across the organization
- Conduct playtests, analyze player data, behavioral metrics, and feedback to identify areas for improvement and drive data-informed design decisions
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and gameplay innovations to ensure our products remain competitive and cutting-edge
- Mentor and coach game designers, fostering their professional growth and nurturing a culture of creativity and experimentation
- Participate in the recruitment and hiring of top game design talent
Must Have
- 10+ years of experience in game design, with 3+ years in a leadership role
- Proven track record of delivering highly engaging free-to-play mobile game experiences
- Excellent understanding of game design principles, mechanics, game economy, and systems, with a focus on free-to-play and live operations models
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and collaboration skills, with the ability to inspire and align cross-functional teams
- Passion for gaming and a deep understanding of player motivations and engagement strategies
