Job Description

The HR Business Partner will support El Ranchito's Spanish locations, acting as a strategic advisor to business leaders. Responsibilities include collaborating on business objectives, talent management (reviews, succession planning, performance management), recruitment and onboarding, HR policy implementation, fostering a positive work environment, driving employee engagement and inclusion initiatives, managing change, and conducting offboarding interviews. The role requires strong business acumen, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, problem-solving abilities, and experience in HR, preferably within the VFX or creative industries. Support of US and Canadian locations is also required.

POSITION OVERVIEW

As the Human Resources Business Partner based out of our Madrid/Barcelona office, you will support our locations in Spain. You will serve as a strategic partner to business leaders and departments, providing HR guidance, support, and expertise to drive organizational success and change, foster a positive workplace culture, and enhance employee engagement.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Strategic Partnership: Collaborate closely with business leaders to understand their objectives, challenges, and talent needs, offering HR insights and solutions aligned with business goals.
  • Employee Relations: Serve as a trusted advisor on employee relations matters, providing guidance, conflict resolution, and coaching to managers and employees to maintain a positive work environment.
  • Talent Management: Partner with managers to facilitate talent reviews, succession planning, performance management, and career development initiatives, identifying key talent and addressing skill gaps.
  • Recruitment & Onboarding: Support recruitment efforts by partnering with hiring managers, contributing to job descriptions, participating in interviews, and facilitating smooth onboarding processes for new hires.
  • HR Policy Implementation: Implement and communicate HR policies, procedures, and programs, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and fostering a culture of fairness and equity.
  • Employee Engagement: Develop and implement initiatives to enhance employee engagement, diversity, equity, and inclusion, promoting a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
  • Change Management: Support organizational change initiatives by providing guidance on change management strategies, communication plans, and employee transition support.
  • Offboarding: conduct offboarding interviews, initiate the exit process and termination.

IDEAL CANDIDATE PROFILE

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years in HR roles, with at least 2 years as an HR Business Partner, preferably within the VFX, entertainment, or related creative or services industries. Experience supporting both US and Canadian locations is required.
  • Business Acumen: Strong understanding of business operations, able to align HR strategies with business objectives and translate organizational needs into actionable HR initiatives.
  • Relationship Building: Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Proven ability to analyze complex HR issues, offer creative solutions, and make data-informed decisions to drive positive outcomes.
  • Communication: Exceptional communication and presentation skills, capable of effectively conveying HR concepts and initiatives to varied audiences.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, psychology, or related fields. Relevant HR certifications are a plus.
