Parts of this role will require supporting across ByteDance, as well as TikTok. ByteDance is TikTok's parent company, whose mission is to inspire creativity and enrich life.
About the Team
We are HR Compliance and Governance, commonly referred to as "HRCG". Our work focuses on various legal and external regulatory requirements for human resources, such as cross-border travel compliance, employee representative bodies cooperation, new hiring entity setup in non-China areas, etc. HRCG's main goals are to ensure the company complies with laws and regulations for labor and employment during global business development, and to help the company solve compliance and governance issues related to "people and organization."
Responsibilities:
1. Establish a privacy data management mechanism based on the employee lifecycle, conduct HR privacy policy reviews and execution of solution implementation;
2. Conduct regular reviews of the HR privacy policy, working closely with HR, Product, Legal, and other relevant teams to maintain compliance with external regulatory privacy requirements;
3. Drive Privacy Impact Assessments (PIA) for internal HR systems, identifying and addressing any compliance issues;
4. Provide training and consultation on HR privacy compliance policies;
5. Monitor and analyze privacy-related trends, regulations, and best practices, recommending improvements to the HR privacy policy and related processes;
6. Act as a privacy advocate within the organization, promoting a culture of privacy awareness and accountability.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
1. HR privacy experience in the tech industry;
2. In-depth knowledge of privacy certifications such as CIPP;
3. Strong learning ability, self-motivation, and excellent communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
1. Prior experience in consulting/ legal/ product/ data is a plus.
