Job Description Summary:

Insurance Risk Manager to support the Corporate Risk Management function in the delivery and continuous improvement of best in class risk management insurance programs and services. This role will support the Senior Director, Insurance & Risk Management in the creation and the enhancements to the global risk management program/strategy including;
• the design and placement of various insurance programs and policies,
• captive insurance company operations and administration,
• claims management,
• broker and insurer relations,
• contract reviews and establishing third party insurance requirements
• engagement with Corporate Development teams on acquisition related initiatives
• consulting with business partners to manage issues and inquiries relating to risk management and insurance programs

This position will work closely with the Risk Management Team, Legal, Finance, Corporate Accounting, Business Development, Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) in support of Risk Management initiatives as described below

Job Description:

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university preferably in the field of Risk Management, Insurance, Finance. ARM, CPCU, CRM certification preferred, Master's degree a plus.
  • Minimum 10 years of progressive Risk Management experience, with a minimum of 5 years in a corporate insurance risk management environment.
  • Captive insurance company operations and administration experience required.
  • Must have strong analytical, interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft business applications including Word, Power Point, Access, Excel and demonstrated experience working with large data sets.
  • Demonstrated hands-on experience and proficiency with RMIS (Origami) functionality including claims management and reporting capabilities a plus.
  • Demonstrate a sense of urgency and ownership to drive projects to completion.
  • Ability to work effectively and collaboratively within teams and build partnerships.
  • Resourceful, self-starter with advanced problem-solving abilities to deliver creative solutions.
  • Results focused with strong personal accountability and pride of work.
  • Demonstrated deliberation and negotiation skills with successful outcomes
  • Exceptionally organized and solid project management skill with the capability to manage competing priorities.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist the Senior Director of Insurance & Risk Management in placement and management of corporate insurance programs including management liability, crime, technology errors & omissions, cyber risk, FI professional liability, employment practices liability.
  • Work closely with Senior Director to manage captive insurance operations, including leading claims administration efforts and management reporting
  • Provide superior claims management services including developing processes to ensure timely identification and reporting, monitoring of claims reserving and development with legal, participation in claim settlement negotiations, and tracking and summarizing of outstanding claim liabilities
  • Assist Senior Director in proactively identify trends, developing strategic plans, implementing risk reduction/ transfer methodologies to mitigate future losses and presenting findings to management as necessary.
  • Prepare loss analyses and budgets, identifying exposures, recommending solutions, implementing approved programs, promoting loss prevention and summarizing same.
  • Collect and organize data for domestic and insurance program submissions and lead/assist in insurance program renewals as directed. Collaborate with internal partners to prepare comprehensive presentation materials in support of underwriter renewal meeting activities.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with insurance brokerage partners to ensure efficiency of insurance program administration functions including claim reporting, program invoicing, policy issuance and certificate of insurance requests.
  • Assist Senior Director in corporate development initiatives including support of due diligence and integration efforts as related to corporate insurance functions and programs.
  • Provide insightful and comprehensive risk management consulting services to business areas including vendor, customer and merchant contract reviews, establishing insurance requirements and supporting loss control activities.
  • Provide quantitative and analytical support to special projects to model risk management programs across all lines of risk and evaluate effectiveness of insurance & risk transfer programs.
  • Reviewing all insurance policies for completeness and accuracy.

The U.S. national annual pay range for this role is

$99300 to $216040
