This is not your typical helpdesk or IT support role. As an IT Support Officer, you’ll play a key role in investigating complex issues and finding technical solutions to help our teams run smoothly. Your role with us:

Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to: provide general IT duties to our workforce of 400+ people in our Melbourne office, assist the IT team with helpdesk tickets, staff onboarding, and general IT problem-solving. You will be assisting Easygo to transition the company from its startup origins to a larger scale, rapidly evolving tech company. There will be a physical labour element to this role which will require you to get hands-on with desk moves, installing monitors, and taking care of day-to-day business as usual tasks. You will be a first responder to IT tickets being raised on Jira and solve them yourself or triage the tickets and call out for help when needed. You will also set up AV equipment in our meeting rooms and ensure our iPad booking system is running smoothly. You will know your way around a HDMI cable and Macs as well as having the ability to work independently and manage your time effectively.

What you will do: 

  • Receive and apply on-the-job training, demonstrating a passion for continual learning and skills growth.
  • Be one of the first responders for internal IT issues and tickets within Easygo.
  • Provide technical assistance, including in-person on-site deskside support.
  • Interact with stakeholders to escalate and resolve IT issues in a timely manner.
  • Assist with maintaining IT equipment including networking and laptops and more.
  • Support office infrastructure including meeting room systems and AV equipment. 
  • Onboarding tasks including set up of workstations and desks for new starters.
  • Other ad-hoc tasks as requested by the IT Manager.
  • Document all actions, troubleshooting steps, and decisions made during problem-solving.
  • Contribute to the team's success by identifying areas of improvement and suggesting innovative solutions.

What you will bring: 

  • Prior experience in a technical support or helpdesk role.
  • Demonstrated analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Good working knowledge of both Windows and MacOS is desirable.
  • Natural talent for computing and an interest in IT and Technology.
  • Good communication skills, with an ability to explain technical issues to non-technical people.
  • Proactive and adaptable, with an ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong team player, dedicated to team success and continual improvement.

Bonus points if you also have:

  • A degree or diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred.
  • Exposure to iGaming or related industry is an advantage, but not a requirement.
  • Knowledge of databases, spreadsheets, large datasets and/or manipulating data queries.
