Job Description

The Japanese Localization Intern will assist with text proofreading and translation for in-game and external content, ensuring accuracy and cultural appropriateness. Responsibilities include supporting voice-over supervision, audio acceptance, and participating in LQA testing to maintain high localization quality. The intern will also monitor player feedback to suggest improvements. Candidates should be proficient in Japanese (N1 or above) and commit to at least 4 days per week for a minimum of 3 months.
Must have:
  • Assist with in-game and external text proofreading and translation.
  • Assist with voice-over supervision and audio acceptance.
  • Participate in LQA testing to ensure final localization quality.
  • Monitor player ecosystem and online feedback, propose localization suggestions.
Good to have:
  • Japanese major or overseas study experience preferred.
  • Rich experience in female-oriented and open-world games preferred.
  • Internship experience in game localization and familiarity with CAT tools (MemoQ/Xbench, etc.) preferred.

3. Participate in LQA testing to ensure the final quality of localization, and provide effective translation optimization solutions for identified issues.

4. Pay attention to the player ecosystem and online feedback, and propose effective localization modification suggestions.

Job Requirements

1. Proficient in Japanese (N1 level or above); Japanese major or overseas study experience preferred; Bachelor's degree or above.

2. Rich experience in female-oriented and open-world games preferred.

3. Internship experience in game localization and familiarity with CAT tools (MemoQ/Xbench, etc.) preferred.

4. Must attend at least 4 days per week, with an internship period of at least 3 months.

5. Strong ability to withstand pressure and time management awareness, with the ability to independently retrieve information.
