Job Description

The Lead Analyst will collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to develop data science solutions, extract and analyze data from various sources, build reports and dashboards using tools like Tableau, and present key insights and recommendations to leadership. They will also design and develop data science solutions and assist in documentation. The role requires experience in data science, with a focus on solving business problems, understanding of SQL and data visualization tools, and the ability to work collaboratively. Experience in Retail, CPG, and marketing is a plus.
Must have:

  • Demonstrated research with applied statistics and modeling.

Job Description:

  • Collaborate closely with cross-disciplinary teams, such as Pro/Consumer Analytics, Product Engineering, Category/Product Managers & other squads, to determine requirements and develop use cases that guide the development of data science solutions. Liaise with different stakeholders to identify data sources necessary for the execution of chosen projects.
  • Collaborate with the Offshore team to build a data source for the dashboarding and analysis.
  • Extract, clean, and synthesize large amounts of data via traditional data warehouses as well as BigQuery Data tools. Perform EDAs to understand the relationship between variables of interest.
  • Build reports and dashboards using data visualization tools such as Tableau to address recurring key business questions. Present key insights and recommendations to Analytics leadership. Develop readouts that can be shared across the organization.
  • Design and develop both bespoke and productized data science solutions to scale our data product initiatives.
  • Assist in the development of documentation for use cases, implementation, and methodological approaches for multiple audiences. Assist in the management of multiple solution development pipelines.
  • A Good Understanding of the NLP & Sentiment analysis models is are added advantage.

Qualifications:

  • 3 years of hands-on working experience in Data Science capacity, solving high-impact business problems. Domain experience in Retail, CPG, and marketing is a plus
  • Extensive experience with database (SQL), Tableau, and a functional understanding of Analytics & Data science fundamentals
  • You will report to a Manager, Analytics
  • Ability to work in an open and collaborative environment
  • Ability to work with urgency, agility, and a focus on achievable solutions that work to address marketplace requirements at speed
  • An empathetic approach to understanding and developing use cases in collaboration with team leadership and diverse clients, both internal and external
  • Demonstrated research with applied statistics and quantitative modelling (e.g., time series, regressions, optimization, segmentation, NLP, experimentation, machine learning, and artificial intelligence methodologies)
  • Deep understanding of dimensional modelling
  • Deep curiosity about the problem domain and an analytical approach
  • Possess the ability to collaborate closely with the team, take ownership, and operate independently to find solutions using a combination of critical thinking and initiative

The annual salary range for this position is $78,000-$126,500. Placement within the salary range is based on a variety of factors, including relevant experience, knowledge, skills, and other factors permitted by law.
