The Lead Development Representative (LDR) plays a key role in providing the sales team with qualified leads. The role focuses on expanding the customer base in the SME and Midmarket segments by acquiring new customers. Responsibilities include sifting through leads, contacting web leads immediately, qualifying leads, arranging appointments, managing outbound calls, and staying informed about industry trends. The goal is to meet and exceed monthly performance goals. The company provides complete protection against complex threats with innovative solutions and a managed XDR service to strengthen cyber resilience.
Must have:
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or relevant experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Proven time management skills

The Lead Development Representative (LDR) plays a key role in providing our new sales team with qualified leads. We're in search of dynamic sales professionals who excel in fast-paced environments, where quick sales cycles are the norm. This role is centered around expanding our customer base in the SME and Midmarket segments by acquiring net-new customers. Leads come from diverse sources such as inbound marketing leads from the web, campaigns, and events. Comfort in making phone calls and participating in Zoom meetings with both prospects and existing customers is essential to achieve assigned performance targets.
 
What you’ll be working on:
  • Use tools to sift through leads, determining which ones are suitable for further action or should be transferred to another team/location.
  • Immediately contact web leads upon submission
  • Qualify leads according to the Barracuda Lead Qualification Criteria
  • Arrange appointments for members of the team using multiple calendar tools 
  • Prioritizing and managing a large number of outbound call activities
  • Being well-informed about current industry trends
  • Meet and exceed monthly performance goals
What you bring to the role: 
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or relevant experience
  • 1-2 years of LDR, BDR or SDR sales experience preferred but not mandatory 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, both in person and on the phone
  • Strong understanding of sales automation tools
  • Telephone selling techniques
  • Not afraid of rejection or to pick up the phone and call anyone!
  • Strong desire to learn the sales process and grow career in sales
  • Proven time management skills required

Campbell, CA only. The anticipated on-target earnings range for this role is $75,000 - $80,000. Actual compensation offered will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, and qualifications as they directly relate to the requirements of the position, the budget for the position, and applicable employment laws.
