Team, about the role

We're looking for a talented Location Game Designer. Together with the experts who created the popular Scapes series, you will make top-quality content and raise the bar in level design for one of the most successful games on the casual market.

Tasks

  • Customization of content and game parameters related to the game's visuals and the project's level design configuration
  • Technical customization of animations based on templates
  • Technical preparation of graphics (slicing, exporting) in Photoshop
  • Participation in the formation of a unified vision and generating ideas for level design 
  • Development of the level design concept and elaboration of game mechanics from the standpoint of overall game design and visual assembly of game locations 
  • Preparation of guidelines, and conducting presentations and workshops for the team
  • Management of level design at all stages — from concept development to quality control of its implementation in the game

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience working as a game designer or level designer of game locations
  • 2+ years of experience creating and assembling maps (preferably in the expedition or farming genres)
  • Experience working with popular game engines (Unity, Unreal, or any other game editors)
  • Basic skills in Adobe Photoshop and Git, understanding of xml structure
  • Experience in animation and scripting
  • Extensive gaming experience, interest in casual games and/or RPGs

Preferred

  • Degree in visual arts or technical studies
  • Programming experience or knowledge of scripting languages
  • Experience mentoring a team
