Summary

This role is a Murex Business Analyst position focused on front-office support for a major global trading house. Responsibilities include resolving system issues, enhancing functionality, working with business users to gather requirements, liaising with the vendor (Murex), and providing training. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of Murex front-office experience, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and experience with various Murex modules and functionalities including trade booking, pricing, simulation, and market data. The role requires proficiency in SQL, Oracle/SQL Server, and Unix, along with experience working in an Agile environment and strong stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

Murex Application Responsibility:

Has strong analytical and problem solving skills, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with business users and the vendor

Works closely with FO users in the management and resolution of any system issues that arise

Works closely with FO sers in understanding requirements to enhance existing functionality

Often works individually in resolving issues, and in coming up with and delivering solutions that meet FO requirements

Analyses and resolves issues related to system configuration, P&L analysi, Simulation views, static data, GOM, market data, market operations, EOD, pre-trade, etc

Liaises with the technical support team, with other business support teams, and with the Murex vendor where and when required

Escalates identified issues / risks in a timely manner to IT and Business managers

Provides detailed information about issues to the vendor, and co-ordinates with them in testing fixes / solutions

Acts as an intermediary between business and vendor

10. Performs routine administrative / technical tasks to appropriately maintain the system

Works on small BAU projects to deliver extended functionality and enhancements to the FO users, and is familiar with the systems development life cycle

Is able to assist in resolving issues around general system configuration, User Groups, Access Rights, Portfolios, etc

Provides training to business users and assists the business in adapting to the Murex environment

Prepares and sends effective periodic / timely status reports to IT / Business managers

Ensures documentation and deliverables are consistent with defined standards

Has the ability to work under pressure to resolve critical issues and meet project deliverables

Support related to Front Office static data creation

Work on change requests (RFC) and enhancement as part of support

Skills

Must have

5+ years of Murex FO experience with an in-depth understanding

Must have skills/ experience in:

Product knowledge (Project requirement asset class: Rates, Commodities and FX)

Deal booking, pricing, events, e-tradepad & simulation issues.

Able to analyze Market data issue, maturity set, fixings, instrument configuration, simulation, PnL issues, payments, etc.

Should have accounting basic knowledge like how rules work, MTM and why accounting missing/not generated, etc.

Should be able to communicate and understand business.

Configuration and static data set up for portfolio, counterparty, products, mappings.

Familiar to Murex screens like OSP, reporting, able to debug/analyze issues related to trade issues, payment scopes, reporting (column addition/data extraction, missing data,etc) and Interface.

Experience in system configuration, P&L analysi, Simulation views, static data, GOM, market data, market operations, EOD, pre-trade and other FO areas

Extensive experience in resolving issues around general system configuration, User Groups, Access Rights, Portfolios, etc

Debugging skills

Oracle and/or SQL Server RDBMS Fundamentals and good SQL skills.

Unix

Experience working with Jira & Agile SDLC experience

Strong stakeholder management & communication skills

Nice to have

CICD

Experience in Agile working environment

Murex Accounting/ BO module knowledge
