Summary

The Rights Management Administrator will administer programming rights across systems and files, including detailed budget files and rights data in the rights management system. This role involves working closely with the EMEA Programming and Acquisitions team, supporting Max EMEA and HBO Europe. Responsibilities include creating and maintaining overviews and spreadsheets, analyzing complex rights flows, entering and updating data in the rights management system, ensuring content rights are up-to-date, invoice validation and processing, administering programming budget files, creating rights overviews and presentations, working with contracts and third-party rights owners, supporting intercompany rights administration, and providing rights reports. The ideal candidate will have an admin background (2-3 years minimum), excellent Excel and PPT skills, experience with rights management systems and complex data, experience with budgets and financial tools, and fluency in English.

Your New Role...

Administering programming rights across systems and files, including the detailed budget files and rights data in the rights management system. Working closely with the EMEA Programming and Acquisitions team supporting Max EMEA and HBO Europe with various rights related tasks, creating and maintaining overviews and spreadsheets, analyzing complex rights flows.

As Rights Administrator, you will work with content rights management and supervise and support the rights data and budget administration as well as work with expansions to new markets, and periodic projects and tasks.

Your Role Accountabilities… 

  • Working in the rights management system, entering, updating and managing complex data, program rights and program information making sure that content rights are kept up to date according to contracts and legal documents.
  • Invoice validation and processing in the rights management system, bridging to finance team by providing supporting documentation when needed
  • Administering the programming budget files, taking a proactive approach to keep the files well maintained
  • Creating and maintaining complex rights overviews, power point presentations including tables and graphs.
  • Working closely with the contracts flow and 3rd party rights owners as well as Intercompany stakeholders with regards to rights
  • Supporting the intercompany rights administration, creating rights overviews and amendments, controlling invoices and managing the rights flow
  • Supporting the business and stakeholders with providing rights reports using query tools
  • You will report to the Director of Rights and Administration and work closely with the Acquisitions team as well as the entire Programming Team, legal, finance and other stakeholders.

Skills and Qualifications… 

  • Admin background minimum 2-3 years.
  • Excellent in Excel and PPT
  • Preferred experience working with a rights management system and complex rights data
  • Experience working with budgets and financial tools
  • Experience with query tools to create data reports (Knowledge in Sql preferred).
  • Fluent in English – both in writing and speaking (all correspondence will be in in English)
  • Good knowledge about TV/SVOD rights
  • MS Office
  • Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new systems
  • Ability to maintain a strategic overview while keeping high attention to details
