Job Description

The Principal Consultant Banking and Insurance will lead the strategic vision, design, and implementation of CRM solutions and integrated platforms within the Financial Services Industry (FSI), specifically in the banking sector. This role involves providing high-level strategic advice on technology and CRM initiatives, conducting comprehensive analyses, implementing tailored solutions, leading large-scale technology projects, and building relationships with stakeholders to ensure project success. Responsibilities also include providing reports and insights based on customer data to inform strategic decisions. The consultant will also be responsible for developing digital transformation strategies, managing business backlogs, and acting as a subject matter expert.

Job description:

We are looking for a Principal Consultant Banking and Insurance, French & English speaker, in Geneva, with proven experience in Financial Services Industry and in leading the delivery of complex global CRM solutions whileworking closely with the client team on site. 

Key Responsibilities:  

  • Responsible for leading the strategic vision, design, and high-level implementation of CRM solutions and integrated platforms, specifically in the FSI banking sector, ensuring alignment with domain-specific business goals, maximizing user engagement, and providing expert guidance to optimize practices across the organization;

  • Providing high-level strategic advice to clients on technology and CRM initiatives and business transformation/goals. Conducts comprehensive analyses of client business processes, systems, and operations to identify areas for improvement and recommendations around change and adoption;

  • Implementing tailored solutions to address specific client needs and challenges. Leading large-scale technology projects and guiding teams to ensure successful implementation while building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders to ensure client satisfaction and project success;

  • Providing reports and insights based on customer data to inform on strategic decisions.

You will:  

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for major consulting engagements in the CRM domain. 

  • Develop digital transformation strategies, concepts, and specifications for innovative platform solutions.  

  • Advise and guide clients to identify opportunities for their digital roadmap through value generation.  

  • Create and manage business backlog, helping drive prioritization through value generation.  

  • Perform engineering requirements and functional specifications. 

  • Document and managing functional/non-functional requirements through brainstorming sessions, interviews, workshops.  

  • Gather business requirements and translate them into workable digital solution specifications.  

  • Define and enhance industry-specific business processes.  

  • Support and consult customers in different phases of their digital projects, ensuring the best possible customer experience.  

  • Advise clients on business, communication, or process aspects within their vertical.  

  • Build the business bridge between internal stakeholders and client stakeholders.  

  • Stay updated on digital trends and understand their impact on clients’ businesses.  

  • Act as a subject matter expert and support client pitches and business development activities.  

  • Act as an advisor or mentor for more junior colleagues on their project work and career development.  

Skills:

CRM Platforms, Strategy and Roadmap 

  • Recognized industry expert in CRM platforms, driving cutting-edge CRM innovations;

  • Defines enterprise-wide CRM strategy, influencing corporate digital transformation, innovation and solutions on a global scale, ensuring future-proof CRM infrastructures;  

  • Shapes the global CRM strategy, driving technological and business innovation;

Industry Specialization 

  • Recognized FSI / Banking industry expert;

  • Knowledge of the Mutual Funds Industry is a plus;

  • Knowledge of FINMA regulations;

  • Knowledge of FIX and SWIFT (setr message type) protocols is a plus;

  • Previous experience of a Core Banking platform (Avaloq, Finnova, Temenos..) is a plus, as well as previous experience with Kubernetes.

Business Analysis & Product Ownership 

  • Drives large-scale business process transformation, aligning CRM with global business models;

  • Understands business needs and requirements to translate them into technical solutions;

  • Values documentation and transparency for sharing knowledge within the team;

  • Acts as product owner to define and maintain the Product Roadmap;

  • Collaborates to elaborating test plans, and coordinates and supports the client’s team during testing. 

Databases  

  • Proficiency in database knowledge, primarily for understanding data structures in CRM projects;

  • Working knowledge of SQL. 

Project & Change Management  

  • Oversees global CRM transformation programs, ensuring executive buy-in and long-term success;

  • Supports the coordination of Product Releases and go/no go ceremonies;

  • Is proficient in Agile & Scrum methodologies, ceremonies, sprint management and goals setting. 

Requirements:

  • Excellent communication skills to interact with technical teams, business stakeholders and C-level executives in both French and English. 

  • Manages complex expectations effectively and professionally. 

  • Team player with organizational skills and dedicated to transparency.  

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and sometimes stressful environment.
