Principal Software Engineer - Teams

We are seeking a Senior Engineer to join our Teams Intelligent Meetings team in Suzhou. This team is focused on building innovative experiences that help our customers make meetings more productive with AI Assistance.  The ideal candidate will be a strong engineer with a passion for delivering high-quality products and exceeding customer expectations.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 6+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
  • OR equivalent experience.
• Full stack engineering including client side and server-side experience, prompt engineering experience.
• Solid technical abilities, problem-solving, design, rapid prototyping, coding, and debugging skills.
• Demonstrated passion for building great end-user experiences and resilient service architecture. 
• Great collaboration skills with partners across globe and Team player with a positive attitude. 
• Quick learner who thrives in an ambiguous environment.  

Other Requirements:

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:

• Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Speech to Text or Text to Speech technology and knowledge of modern speech recognition models like Whisper etc.. 

• Provide technical leadership across features, projects and tools, and improve end-to-end solution reliability, resilience and performance.  
• Architect, design, and develop features and solutions with high quality - Partner with outside teams and drive end-to-end engineering design alignment. 
• Work closely with partners, align priorities, influence key decisions, and create collaborative agreements about sequencing work across teams.  
• Work will include client-side development, building services and prompt engineering to power rich scenarios.
