The Role
 
Lab49 is growing their LabExperience team and currently has an opportunity available for a Product Designer. As a multi-disciplinary team player, you will work closely with our product designers, product managers and engineering teams, to design cross-platform mobile and web applications.

The ideal candidate will be excellent in a customer-facing environment.  You like to solve complex challenges and think outside the box.  With strong written and verbal communication skills, you not only understand client requirements, but are comfortable making presentations.  You will work well in a team-environment and assimilate easily with a close-knit and friendly staff.

We are looking for an experienced visual designer, as a bonus any hybrid UX/Product Designer experience as well as a basic understanding of CSS3/HTML5/JavaScript development. You will participate in strategic visual design and will bring design concepts to life with pixel precision.

In addition to visual design principles, you should be familiar with HCI, UCD methodologies, design cycles, and usability best practices.
 
You'll need to have:
• A link to your online portfolio in your resume. Your application will not be considered without a portfolio
• 5+ years of experience in designing and prototyping for mobile or web applications
• B.S./M.S. in Communication Design, Graphic Design, Information Design, Interaction Design, or related field
• Demonstrated intuitive and engaging UI design with simple clean style and a pixel-level attention to detail via a portfolio
• Demonstrated fluency with Sketch/Figma and Adobe Creative suite
• Experience with HTML 5, CSS3, Xcode/Swift, Java/Kotlin, and JavaScript
