The Product Manager (Regulatory Reporting) will be responsible for creating and maintaining a prioritized one-year plan for several products, balancing regulatory changes, customer needs, and internal goals. They will also communicate and defend the product roadmap, frequently interact with customers to capture needs, and interact with various stakeholders. Responsibilities include developing and maintaining product plans, interacting with customers, collaborating with development teams, understanding regulatory requirements, and taking accountability for the product's scope, time to market, and quality. The role involves guiding and supporting the product development team, maintaining contact with regulators, and supporting the sales process. The product manager will also lead requirements analysis and articulate the value proposition to customers and senior management.
Must have:
  • 2+ years of experience in product/project management.
  • Experience in Regulatory Reporting/Finance/Risk Management.
  • Understanding of project delivery and acceptance processes.
  • Excellent English speaking and writing skills.
Good to have:
  • Experience working in a software development company.
  • Knowledge of French, German, or Dutch.

We are looking for a motivated, collaborative & enthusiastic individual to join our Regulatory Reporting EMEA Product Management Team. If you love interacting with customers, abstracting a detailed plan & strategy into powerful, engaging market messages and collaborating with many different teams keeping everyone aligned on the same goals then this is the right job for you.

In this role, you will be accountable to ensure our regulatory reporting software is fit for the client’s needs. Your main responsibilities will be to create and maintain a prioritized one-year plan for several products striking the right balance between the regulatory changes, customer needs and internal goals you capture from your large group of stakeholders.

You will also communicate and defend the product roadmap & planning to the various stakeholders. In this job you’ll frequently interact directly with customers to listen and capture needs & requests.

As product manager you will interact with a large, diverse group of stakeholders to achieve the right priorities. That includes virtually the entire organization including presales, customer support, product development, professional services, your product management colleagues and the customers themselves.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain one or several well aligned, prioritized product plans which anticipate the customer, regulator and internal needs over a period of one year to 3 years

  • Interact closely with the customer facing part of our organization and with customers directly to capture requirements and to address complaints or escalations

  • Collaborate with the development scrum teams to translate the roadmap into a workable backlog having thorough definitions of done to ensure quality and make sound priority calls to adjust the plan when needed

  • Build a thorough understanding of the regulatory requirements for the products you are accountable for. As such put yourself in a position in which you can define the product requirements & acceptance criteria to a sufficient level of detail so you can guarantee that the product built by the development team will adhere to the customer & maket expectations.

  • Meets customers to explain the product roadmap & strategy and to develop a customer focused product vision & planning

  • Timely capture regulatory updates and integrate them in the product plan

  • Take the end accountability over your entire product, it’s scope, time to market and quality

  • Guide and support the product development team, taking a role of a senior leader able to distinguish between priorities easily and to make decisions quickly

  • Maintain contact with the regulators your products are servicing

  • Participate if needed to customer events, occasionally presenting about your products

  • Support the sales process

  • Lead high-level requirements analysis activities with customers and prospects to gather requirements and configuration specifications

  • Understand, fine tune, expand and articulate the complete value proposition to customers & senior management

Requirements:

  • Education: Degree in economics/accounting/banking or information technology

  • At least 2 years of experience in product management and/or project management

  • Functional or technical experience of working with the Regulatory Reporting, Finance or Risk Management areas of a bank or financial services company

  • Understanding of project delivery & acceptance processes ideally under an agile methodology

  • Experience working within a software development company is a plus

  • Excellent English speaking and writing skills

  • Knowledge of French, German or Dutch is a plus

  • Effective communicator at all levels including in front of large groups

  • Team player, and able to work on own initiative. Assertive and results driven

  • Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment

  • Flexible to travel
