The Nasdaq Client Clearing Engineering organization is expanding our technology center in Bengaluru (Bangalore). We are looking for a Senior Specialist within test automation to join our newly started NRTC (Nasdaq Real Time Clearing) system QA team.

With this position we offer :

Join the NRTC QA Team within Nasdaq Marketplace Technology. It is a new team which means you will be part of building a local QA team from scratch, but you will also be part of an extensive network of QA people working with our Clearing systems across the globe.

Your role and responsibilities:

As a Senior Specialist QA within test automation, you will work in a multi-functional product engineering team with highly skilled and expert Business Analysts, Software Engineers, and Test Engineers.

Your responsibilities will be related to test automation in a DevOps oriented environment for a clearing system. Including such as:

  • Understand the Application/Product Components and integration points to perform E2E testing.
  • Create test cases, test scripts, test plans, test specifications and test reports.
  • Guide and mentor a small team of QA Automation Engineers.
  • Build and Manage Automated Functional test suites at API level across different environments.
  • Analyse & Mitigate complex problems/issues arising because of Test failures, identify & resolve bottlenecks such as Test data and Env issues.
  • Influencing the Product Architecture / Development to support Automation.
  • Implement Test metrics & QA Automation best practices/standards to inspect Quality Checkpoints and for Test Reporting.
  • Collaborate with QA personnel from other product teams to plan and build the needed tests to ensure the integration of all the products.
  • Stay up to date on the latest trends in the QA space.

We expect you to have:

  • Over all experience of 10-13 yrs of experience in testing with 7+ years of hands on experience in Automation is a must.
  • Hands on experience in API / Rest Assured / Backend automation and related frameworks Swagger, TestNG.
  • Proficient in Java and working experience in Linux.
  • You are a multi-skilled, solution-oriented team player with a positive can-do attitude. You can work cross-functionally and internationally in a constantly evolving environment.
  • Expertise in setting up, enhancing and maintaining the Automation Frameworks.
  • Good understand of DB concepts and hands on experience with SQL.
  • Should have independently handled/ developed complex features using Test Automation.
  • Intermediary level of scripting using Python and similar script languages.
  • Experience integrating automated tests with a CI/CD pipeline. Familiar with GIT, Gradle, Jenkins and related tools.
  • Experience working in agile teams either using Scrum or Kanban.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Bachelor's in computer science, Information Systems or related field with relevant work experience.

It would be great if you have:

  • Experience in the Clearing domain, the post-trade domain or the financial market.
  • Experience in non-functional tests such as failover tests, load/performance tests and security related testing.
  • International Working Experience in the financial domain
