To continue our success story, we are now looking for you to join our team as our new
Senior Animator (m/w/d).
Responsibilities:
- Create and maintain high quality key frame animations (weight, body mechanics, timing, and facial expression)
- Integrate and clean up motion-captured animations and adapt them to the defined animation style and parameters
- Work with lead animator to ensure timely completion of tasks at the desired quality bar
- Collaborate proactively with other Animators and different departments to create a cohesive vision and experience
- Troubleshoot and solve animation issues with all disciplines
- Work closely with designers to implement animations into the game engine
Requirements:
- A passionate Animator with a very good eye for motion, art and design
- 5+ years of experience in the games industry
- Experience with combat and gameplay animations on basis of keyframe or motion-capture techniques
- A strong showreel or online portfolio showcasing previous work and experience
- Experience in Unreal Engine 5 and Experience working with game engines and game animation implementation with the ability to adapt to technical dependencies and limitations
- Wanting to contribute to the animation vision and direction of the project by showing excellent organizational, teamwork, and communication skills
- Open to constructive feedback and willingness to contribute to an iterative process
- Expert knowledge of basic principles of animation and knowledge of skinning/rigging best practices
- Strong staging skills with focus on expressive and dynamic posing
- A positive, solution oriented mindset as well as a Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to assist a varied team; Good command of English language
Bonus Points:
- Knowledge of 3DS Max & CAT, experience with physics and/or experience with Cinematics
- Experienced with the Movella XSENS system and XSENS Metagloves or similar Tracking Suits
- Knowledgeable in Motionbuilder
- Strong communication skills with business partners and outsourcers
