Job Description
As a Senior Solutions Architect at Ness, you'll transform complex challenges into scalable solutions. You'll act as a trusted advisor to global clients, leading discovery engagements, crafting architecture strategies, and driving technical excellence across digital transformations and cloud migrations. Responsibilities include advising clients on technical decisions, leading discovery sessions, developing target-state architecture, guiding delivery teams, evaluating technologies, and continuously learning new patterns and tools. This role requires expertise in Kafka, cloud platforms (Confluent and AWS), Kubernetes, IaC tools, and strong programming skills.
Must have:
- 10+ years in technology defining technical direction
- Expertise in Kafka, KStream, ksqlDB, Flink, Kafka Connect
- Cloud platforms (Confluent, AWS), Kubernetes, IaC tools
- Linux/Windows systems, application design, networking
- Strong programming, problem-solving, Agile/Waterfall experience
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
Good to have:
- Client advisory/consulting experience
- Large cloud deployments (AWS, Azure, GCP, OpenStack)
- Event-driven architecture, microservices, distributed systems
- Automated testing, test data management, containerization
- Experience in globally distributed teams

The Role

Acting as a trusted advisor to global clients, you’ll lead discovery engagements, craft architecture strategies, and drive technical excellence across digital transformations and cloud migrations.
Responsibilities
- Engage with clients during pre-sales to advise on strategic technical decisions.
- Lead discovery sessions, assessing clients’ workloads, infrastructure, and software environments.
- Develop target-state architecture and create implementation strategies for diverse use cases.
- Guide delivery teams in digital transformations and cloud migrations.
- Evaluate technologies to recommend best-fit solutions for clients.
- Continuously learn and adopt new patterns, tools, and certifications to enhance expertise.
What You Bring
- A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- 10+ years of experience in technology, with a strong focus on defining technical direction.
- Expertise in:
- Kafka, KStream, ksqlDB, Flink, and Kafka Connect.
- Cloud platforms, particularly Confluent and AWS.
- Kubernetes, container management, and IaC tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible).
- Linux/Windows systems, application design, and networking protocols.
- Strong programming background and problem-solving skills.
- Proven experience in Agile and Waterfall project management.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Bonus Skills
- Direct client advisory or consulting experience.
- Large cloud deployments (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, or OpenStack).
- Event-driven architecture, microservices, and distributed systems.
- Automated testing, test data management, and containerization best practices.
- Experience working in globally distributed teams.
