Dreamhaven seeks an experienced Senior Community Manager with 5+ years in gaming to build and engage vibrant player communities. Must-haves include strong communication skills, experience leading community initiatives, and the ability to build and grow communities from scratch.

Dreamhaven is seeking an s-tier Senior Community Manager to drive the development, growth, and engagement of our player community for Moonshot Games.

As a member of the Moonshot team, the Senior Community Manager will work closely with brand, communications, and product marketing experts to create community-forward strategies, plans, and content that amplify Dreamhaven’s mission to deliver vibrant gameplay experiences that connect players in meaningful ways.

The ideal candidate has a deep and intrinsic understanding of how player communications, social media conversations, and creator relationships intersect with each other, and is adept at crafting community content and initiatives that cohesively bring all these elements together. They are a highly collaborative, empathy-driven advocate focused on empowering players, building trust, and fostering a strong sense of belonging within the community itself. Their day-to-day responsibilities will primarily focus on building gaming communities from the ground up — curating official channels, sharing information, starting and joining conversations, analyzing discussions, supporting creators, and maintaining an open and constructive dialogue with our development team.

What you'll do:

  • Create compelling product communications including social posts, blog posts, patch notes, and other updates that highlight the game and inform players
  • Contribute to our digital content strategy by leading responsive player messaging and engagement (across both owned and earned channels)
  • Develop and execute community-focused initiatives, programs, and events that foster strong connections in and out of the game
  • Identify, engage, and build relationships with key community leaders and content creators
  • Track, analyze, and report on community and creator campaign performance, sharing insights and identifying opportunities for continual optimization and improvement
  • Establish and maintain healthy feedback loops between our players and development teams, providing meaningful reporting on community health, sentiment, and suggestions
  • Collaborate with development and publishing partners to identify community-facing issues, develop resolutions, and communicate impact and outcomes to players clearly (and kindly)

What we need:

  • Passionate about cultivating inclusive communities through empathy, respect, and authenticity
  • Adept at understanding broader team and company goals in order to effectively craft the best possible responses, reports, and relationships
  • Connected to the pulse of current community trends, best practices, tools, and techniques
  • Thoughtful and intentional, even under pressure—knowing how to handle sensitive situations with compassion
  • Detail-oriented, task-driven, and self-motivated; able to build your own pipelines, as well as scope and own projects end-to-end
  • Highly collaborative, with a strong preference for partnership when creating copy, content, and/or community programs
  • Committed to constant evolution—open to constructive feedback, trying new ideas, and analyzing past performance to maximize future success
  • Data-informed, but not exclusively data-driven

Who you are:

  • 5+ years working as a Community Manager (or similar role) in gaming and/or entertainment
  • Prior experience leading community initiatives, communications, and reporting
  • Prior experience building and growing communities from the ground up
  • Prior experience launching and supporting new game titles

The base salary range for this position is $86,313 to $143,855 USD per year, which is associated with our Level 3 salary band. The range listed for this position is just one component of Dreamhaven’s total compensation package for team members and exact compensation may vary based on skills and experience.
