The Senior Environmental Data Analyst will report financial and environmental metrics related to The Walt Disney World Resort (WDW) emissions, water and waste usage as WDW moves towards The Walt Disney Company's (TWDC) 2030 environmental goals. You will engage and influence important partners across the WDW Resort to ensure data is tracked and reported. You will support the tracking of emissions reduction fund projects. You will be reporting to the Manager, Environmental Programs.
This opportunity will be an office role based out of Orlando, FL.
Gather and analyze data to support the environmental sustainment goals.
Partner with other teams to improve data accuracy and integrity; gather and combine data to inform program management; and develop recommendations for improving performance and positive impact.
Create metric dashboards to analyze visual representations of goals.
Support WDW's environmental reporting related to emissions and water.
Develop partnerships across the segment to ensure data entry and validation, develop and measure new projects and programs, report progress to targets, and provide regular ad-hoc analysis.
Support the promotion and tracking of emissions reduction and water conservation projects.
Stay current on sustainability reporting frameworks and new disclosure trends to support TWDC reporting.
3+ years' work or equivalent experience.
Experience in Tableau or Power BI or similar data visualization software.
Analytical skills – with a proficient ability to read/write SQL queries to analyze data.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills to convey data and analysis to all organizational levels across WDW.
Experience in statistical analysis tools like R or Python.
Understanding of relational database principles and data structures.
Understanding of utility data and/or metering.
Bachelor's degree in business, computer science, economics, finance, industrial engineering, mathematics, statistics, or related fields is required.
Advanced degree in STEM related field is preferred.
