We’re looking for a Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer with a frontend focus to join our User Experience News & Ratings team. This position is based in Poznań but is open to remote work anywhere in Poland.
As part of the team, you’ll maintain and enhance Fandom’s News & Ratings portfolio, including brands like Metacritic, GameSpot, TV Guide, and GameFAQs. You’ll also help drive performance improvements, user engagement, and technical innovation across our platforms. This is an opportunity to make a real impact on how millions of fans experience entertainment content online.
You Will...
- Build and maintain some of the most recognized entertainment websites (Metacritic, GameSpot, TV Guide, and more).
- Develop scalable and high-performance web applications, focusing on frontend excellence while being open to backend work.
- Participate in end-to-end feature development, from concept and design to deployment and optimization.
- Improve user experience and site performance, ensuring our platforms meet modern web standards and best practices.
- Optimize web applications to handle high-traffic demands while maintaining speed, reliability, and responsiveness.
- Explore new technologies, contribute ideas, and run experiments to enhance our products and development processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (designers, product managers, backend engineers) to create seamless experiences.
- Share knowledge, mentor team members, and help shape development best practices.
You Have...
- Strong experience in frontend development, building modern server-side rendered (SSR) applications with Vue.js (Nuxt) or similar frameworks like React (Next.js).
- Proficiency in TypeScript/JavaScript and experience with at least one backend language (e.g., PHP, Java).
- A growth mindset with a passion for learning and adopting new technologies.
- Strong understanding of performance optimization, scalability, and web best practices.
- Experience with RESTful APIs.
- A commitment to well-structured, tested, and maintainable code.
- Fluency in English, with the ability to communicate ideas effectively.
Bonus Points...
- Experience working with highly-scaled web applications.
- Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or other cloud providers.
- Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and containerized development.
- Knowledge of Node.js backend frameworks (e.g. Express, Fastify, etc.).
- Experience working with CDNs and caching strategies.
