Amber is seeking a Senior Game Designer to join their team and create engaging experiences for millions of players worldwide. This role involves designing game mechanics, meta-game systems, and content for a global mega-hit PC/console franchise. Responsibilities include collaborating with artists and programmers, using research and playtests to refine designs, championing game design best practices, mentoring team members, and pitching new feature ideas. The ideal candidate will have 7+ years of experience in game design, proven skills in action and party gameplay design for PC and console platforms, and excellent communication skills. The Quest:
- Play a senior design role on a team working on a world class PC/console game
- Design game mechanics, meta-game systems, game content, and more
- Work closely with artists and programmers to turn your design ideas into reality
- Use audience research, playtests, and metrics to make decisions and refine your team's work
- Champion the discipline of game design by haring knowledge and mentoring
- Pitch creative ideas for new features and upcoming projects
The Skills:
- Demonstrated passion for mass-market PC and console games
- 7+ years of experience as a game designer, or equivalent background
- Proven experience designing and tuning action and party gameplay
- Experience designing games for PC and console platforms, knowledge of mobile market is a plus
- Proficient English with outstanding verbal, written, and visual communication skills
- Ability to quickly adapt and hit deadlines in a fast-paced and creative environment
