NVIDIA is seeking a Senior IT Linux Engineer to join the IT Engineering team and contribute to the R&D efforts. This role will craft, develop, manage, and oversee all aspects of large-scale production systems for maximum efficiency and reliability using various solutions, software, and systems engineering practices. In this role, you'll be responsible for analyzing, fixing, and crafting crucial services, platforms, and automations with a focus on reliability, scalability, resilience, security, and performance. What you'll be doing:

• Build and maintain automated and sophisticated processes across the organization by sharing your standard methodologies, approaches, documentation, and code with other engineering teams.

• Maintain automated OS deployment systems (such as PXE, Foreman, WDS).

• Deliver to engineers the required platform for OS automated deployment for a variety of images, labels, and custom requirements.

• Maintain services once they are live by measuring and monitoring availability, latency, and overall system health, including pro-active actions based on reports and deep data analysis.

• Tackle complicated, cross platform issues handling OS, storage, networking, Linux environment and handle live production incidents, debug/solve application, and infrastructure issues, follow and implement SRE standard methodologies.

• Keep up-to date with security and proactively identify, diagnose, and solve complex security issues.

What we need to see:

• 8+ years of experience mainly on Linux and infrastructure.

• Demonstrable experience with PXE, Foreman, and/or similar automated deployment systems on a large scale.

• Proven experience in Containerization-Docker and orchestration (Kubernetes).

• Extensive experience in managing large-scale projects and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, effectively prioritize and complete tasks in a fast-paced environment.

• Experience with crafting and building automations using standard methodology tools available in the market.

• Experience with Infrastructure as a Code (Salt Stack, Puppet, Terraform, Ansible).

• The ability to learn new solutions and platforms.

• B.Sc. in an engineering field or equivalent experience.

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, in Hebrew and English.

• Ability to communicate complex interaction concepts clearly and persuasively across different audiences and varying levels of the organization.

Ways to stand out from the crowd:

• Detailed problem-solving approach, coupled with excellent communication skills and a sense of ownership and drive.

• Ability to debug and optimize code and automate routine tasks.

• Deep understanding of Software Configuration Management (SCM) processes and tools such as Perforce, Git, Subversion, and multi-site development.

• Experience with cloud-based platforms (AWS, Google, Azure).
