Job Summary
Job Description
N-iX is seeking a Senior .NET Engineer to join their team working on a platform offering industry-neutral investor onboarding clearinghouse for the private markets. This platform provides solutions for KYC, taxation, managed services, fund subscriptions, MLRO support, and more. Responsibilities include driving technical standards, leading backend system design and architecture, collaborating with stakeholders, addressing technical debt, providing mentorship, and working closely with other teams to ensure seamless integration. The ideal candidate will have profound expertise in .NET Core and C#, a comprehensive understanding of HTTP and APIs, experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, and a proven track record of building systems from scratch.
Must have:
- Profound expertise in .NET Core and C# fundamentals
- Comprehensive understanding of HTTP and APIs
- Hands-on experience with SQL and NoSQL databases
- Expert backend development experience
- Familiarity with build tools, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud platforms
- Experience with TDD
- Knowledge of backend development paradigms
- Experience with caching frameworks
- Skilled in structured logging
- Experience with messaging queue systems
- Exceptional communication skills
- Strong leadership qualities
Good to have:
- Experience with at least one messaging queue system
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology

N-iX is looking for a Senior .NET Engineer to join the team that works on the customer's product - the platform offering industry-neutral investor onboarding clearinghouse for the private markets. It provides solutions for KYC, taxation, managed services, fund subscriptions, MLRO support, and more.
Responsibilities:
- Drive technical standards and champion best practices within the backend team
- Lead the design and architecture of backend systems, ensuring scalability, reliability, and optimal performance
- Collaborate with other tech leads, product owners, and stakeholders to align the technical roadmap with business objectives and product strategy
- Take ownership of designing and constructing systems from the ground up
- Address technical debt proactively, optimize existing systems, and prioritize maintainability
- Provide mentorship to developers, ensuring alignment with architectural principles and standards
- Work closely with frontend developers, product owners, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration and alignment of objectives
- Engage in agile development processes, contributing to sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives
Requirements:
- Profound expertise in .NET core and strong knowledge of C# fundamentals
- Comprehensive understanding of HTTP and APIs
- Hands-on experience with both SQL and NoSql databases, demonstrating a keen understanding of their advantages and disadvantages
- Established track record of conceptualising, designing, and deploying systems from inception
- Expert backend development experience, with a history of working on both intricate legacy systems and greenfield development
- Familiarity with contemporary build tools, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud platforms
- Robust experience with TDD and a nuanced understanding of its benefits and limitations as a development practice
- In-depth knowledge of backend development paradigms and best practices
- Experience with caching frameworks
- Skilled in structured logging
- Experience with at least one messaging queue system
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology preferred
- Exceptional communication skills, capable of conveying complex technical concepts and guiding the team
- Strong leadership qualities, emphasising technical mentorship and setting technical standards
- Upper-Intermediate level of English
