Job Description

As a Senior Sales Manager EMEA for Travel Payments at Sabre, you will work with major travel agencies in the region to offer payment solutions. Your responsibilities include growing the business, managing the full sales lifecycle, partnering with the Sabre Virtual Payments team, delivering revenue targets, providing performance reports, and identifying competitors. You will also represent Sabre Virtual Payments at industry events. This role offers the opportunity to work with key players in the payment ecosystem, including banks, fintech companies, card networks, and C-level executives in travel agencies.
Must have:
  • Knowledge of Payments with focus on virtual card usage.
  • New Sales experience with strong demonstrable record.
  • Polished sales, contractual, negotiation, and closing skills.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation capabilities.
  • Strong interpersonal skills at a senior level.
  • Capable of managing and prioritizing competing tasks.
  • Willingness to travel globally at short notice.
Good to have:
  • Good understanding of the Travel Industry.
  • Expertise with Online, Leisure and Business travel agencies.
  • Competent CRM experience (Excel, Salesforce).
  • Multilingual: English, Spanish, French, and Portuguese.

It allows our clients to pay anyone, anywhere through a network of over 70 issuers around the world and integrates seamlessly into their current workflows intending to change how travel payments are today to benefit more our customers.
 

Role and Responsibilities  

As the Senior Sales Manager EMEA – Travel Payments, you will have the opportunity to work with the biggest and most important travel agencies around in the region offering them one of the best payment solutions in the travel industry and making them feel that travel payments are easy, seamless, efficient, and beneficial.

What will you achieve?

  • Grow our business in the region. Being able to build and maintain a pipeline of leads that fit in with the strategy of Sabre Direct Pay, moving prospects through the sales channel to a “live” status as quickly as possible.

  • Managing the full sales lifecycle (Early engagement, spend growth, and retention activities), ensuring revenue, and growth on new customer acquisitions.

  • Partnering with the Sabre Virtual Payments team, including working with customer success, Implementations, Partnerships, business finance and Product. Also working with the wider Sabre Global Distribution System sales teams and account managers on existing clients.

  • Deliver strong performance results in line with agreed revenue and spend targets, and overall SDP strategy.

  • Being able to provide management with clarity as to the performance and results arising from your activities. Ensure all activity is captured in the chosen SDP CRM tool.

  • Ensure quality and timeliness of business development activities including internal activity reporting, external presentation, contractual commitments, and key client success criteria. 

  • Provide feedback and insight into Sabre Direct Payments;

  • Identify existing competitors and provide insight into their competitive position within the marketplaces we operate.

  • Represent Sabre Virtual Payments at industry trade events.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

Must Have Skills:

  • Knowledge of Payments with focus on virtual card usage.

  • New Sales experience with a strong demonstrable record of achievement blended with account management skills.

  • Polished sales, contractual, negotiation skills and closing ability.

  • Exceptional communication & and presentation capabilities.

  • Strong interpersonal skills, comfortable engaging with senior team members and customers – including at C Level.

  • Capable of managing and prioritizing several competing tasks

  • Must be willing to travel at short notice globally, to attend amongst others, client visits and represent Sabre Virtual Payments at industry trade events.

Nice to Have Skills:

  • Good understanding of the Travel Industry and the GDSs dynamics.

  • Expertise with Online, Leisure and Business travel agencies.

  • Competent CRM experience – including the use of Excel, Salesforce and others.

  • Multilingual: Main Language: English. Spanish, French and Portuguese are a plus.
