Lead Site Reliability Engineer – Data Operations

Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Data Operations Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join our dynamic team. As an SRE, you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability, scalability, and performance of our data operations infrastructure. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our data pipelines, data storage systems, and data quality processes. You will also be responsible for monitoring our data systems for performance issues and proactively identifying and resolving potential problems.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement data pipelines that are highly scalable, resilient, and performant.

· Develop and monitor systems to ensure that they meet service level objectives (SLOs).

  • Implement data quality processes to ensure that our data is accurate, consistent, and complete.

· Collaborate with development teams to ensure that data infrastructure meets the needs of applications.

  • Monitor data systems for performance issues and proactively identify and resolve potential problems.
  • Respond to incidents and outages quickly and effectively.
  • Automate tasks to improve efficiency and reliability.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for data systems.
  • Collaborate with data engineers, data scientists, and other stakeholders to ensure the success of data-driven initiatives.
  • Participate in Architecture/design sessions to make sure the systems are built with SRE mindset.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field with 7+ years of experience.

  • 3+ years of experience as a Site Reliability Engineer or Data Engineer.
  • Strong Programming experience in any on the languages like Python , Java , C# etc
  • Proven experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining data pipelines and data storage systems.
  • Strong understanding of data infrastructure concepts, including data storage, data processing, and data pipelines
  • Strong understanding of data quality principles and practices.
  • Experience with monitoring and alerting tools.
  • Experience with cloud computing platforms such as AWS or Azure.
  • Experience with data warehousing technologies such as Snowflake etc.
  • Experience with data streaming technologies such as Kafka .
  • Experience with data governance frameworks such as Data Lineage or Data Quality.
  • strong background with an orchestration tool of some kind (Mage, Dagster, Prefect, etc.)
  • Experience with machine learning and artificial intelligence.
  • US healthcare industry experience would be a plus
