Job Description

As a Software Engineer III, you will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, deploying, maintaining, and enhancing software solutions for Google's Android Health Platform. You will work with a team of engineers to build and maintain a high-quality, scalable, and reliable platform. You will be expected to write product or system development code, review code developed by other engineers, contribute to existing documentation or educational content, triage product or system issues and debug/track/resolve them, participate in design reviews, and lead project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables. This role requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience and 2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages. You must also have 2 years of experience with data structures or algorithms and 2 years of experience with Android application development. Experience with Kotlin and Java is preferred.

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.

  • 2 years of experience with data structures or algorithms in either an academic or industry setting.
  • 2 years of experience with Android application development.

Responsibilities

  • Write product or system development code.
  • Review code developed by other engineers and provide feedback (e.g., style guidelines, checking code in, accuracy, testability, and efficiency).
  • Contribute to existing documentation or educational content and adapt content based on product/program updates and user feedback.
  • Triage product or system issues and debug/track/resolve by analyzing the sources of issues and the impact on hardware, network, or service operations and quality.
  • Participate in, or lead design reviews with peers and stakeholders to decide amongst available technologies.
