The Role
Netflix has been changing how people watch shows and movies, enabling on-demand access to thousands of movies and TV shows. Recently, Netflix has expanded its entertainment offering to include Live content, like the Tom Brady Roast, the SAG Awards ceremony, WWE Live events and NFL Christmas games. Bringing stories in real-time to 270+ million viewers around the world is a hard challenge, setting high requirements for playback quality across thousands of device types. We are looking for an experienced Test Engineer to help drive the quality of these live shows.
Your Role and Opportunity
As a Software Development Engineer in Test, your focus will be creating automation tests for Live events across various devices. You will also run manual tests when automation is not possible, track defects and inconsistencies in functionality, and communicate results to upstream teams. You will help to improve test case coverage and help to convert manual tests to automation. You will collaborate with various engineering teams at Netflix and have the opportunity to influence and contribute to our specialized tools. You will support our Live automation pool and help to keep our test devices healthy and available for testing.
