Job Summary:
The Creative Services Department operates as part of SEGA West Publishing and is responsible for producing a wide variety of assets used to support cutting-edge marketing campaigns for SEGA and Atlus PC, Console, and mobile games. The Senior Graphic Designer will be responsible for creative development and asset production for a variety of visual projects in support of SEGA’s PC and Console titles such as Persona, Yakuza/Like a Dragon, Metaphor: Refantazio, Sonic the Hedgehog, and all other franchises and games. We are looking for a talented, reliable, and self-motivated Senior Graphic Designer, experienced in current media technologies to ideate, and produce creative deliverables. This person will be a leader among SEGA’s in-house Design team and will support with both project administration, and execution of marketing materials.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Paid Media assets concepting & production – Ideate, create, and produce static and HTML5 assets for paid media such as out-of-home, digital display, paid social, site takeovers, and programmatic ads. With the guidance of the department lead, this role will conceptualize ad creative in partnership with Product Marketing and Digital Media counterparts and will manage the creation and production of assets for each assigned campaign.
- Physical packaging design – Develop physical software packaging materials for PC/Console titles software packaging, working directly with production vendors, game developers, and cross-functional colleagues to ensure packaging, legal, and compliance guidelines are met and asset manufacturing meets quality standards.
- Organic Social Media design – Design creative solutions for social requests using strong technical skills and adhering to style guides with guidance and collaboration with the community team and product marketing leads.
- Tradeshow/event design – Design engaging visuals for support title marketing at tradeshows and events such as banners, wall graphics, posters and fliers.
- Communicate directly with key project stakeholders for alignment on creative requests and direction to ensure information is complete and projects are ready to be executed.
- Manage deadlines and schedules for design projects.
- Uphold and stay up to date on brand standards, guidelines, and best practices for consistency among all creative assets, including external guidelines of first-party and ratings boards
- Review creative deliverables to ensure high-quality output that meets project brief expectations.
- Provide design mentorship to Junior/Mid-level designers by producing comps, ideas and feedback for design projects.
- Identify and advocate for potential areas of improvement for any practices and procedures.
- Organize and maintain design files, ensuring proper version control and accessibility for the team.
- Support cross-functionally with other CS design tasks, as needed.
- Working in-office is an essential function of this position. This requirement of face-to-face interaction is in place to ensure effective supervision, collaboration, and teamwork. 3-day office weeks is the current hybrid work model. In-office attendance is required for the following reasons:
