Job Description

As a Studio Communications Lead at Electronic Arts, you will be responsible for crafting authentic and inspiring brand stories for Motive Studios. This role involves developing studio communications programs to attract future hires, increase pride and retention among team members, and engage with player communities. You will collaborate with senior studio leaders to create consistent identity, messaging, and narratives across internal and external communications. This position requires integrating with Integrated Communications teams to align studio narratives with launch programs, and building strong relationships with the studio GM and leadership to understand their communication needs and industry trends. You will also work with the Operations and Culture team on internal projects to enhance team retention and studio culture, and manage PR agencies.
Must have:
  • 7+ years of experience in Communications
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Fully fluent in English and French
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects
  • Creative thinking and proactive nature
Good to have:
  • Bachelor's degree desired
  • Experience using data and metrics to measure impact
  • Comfortable problem-solving and collaborating globally
  • Passion for gaming

Key Accountabilities

  • Create authentic and inspiring brand stories for Motive Studios through the development of studio communications programs to remain top of mind for potential future hires, increase pride and retention among our team members, and engage with our player communities.

  • Collaborate with senior studio leaders to develop consistent identity, messaging and narratives across internal and external communications. 

  • Integrate and collaborate with Integrated Communications teams to develop stories, narratives, and messaging for the  studio that work hand-in-hand with launch programs.

  • Develop strong relationships with the studio GM and leadership team to understand their studio communications needs, priorities and challenges, as well as industry trends.

  • Work with the Operations and Culture team on internal projects that enhance team retention and studio culture and help attract talent.

  • Identify strategic press and event opportunities for our studio GM and other spokespeople that will position them and their studio as thought leaders in the industry.

  • Partner and gain alignment with key cross functional leads and stakeholders across the organization to manage projects. 

  • Support and advise our studio GM in organizational changes and updates to ensure we craft timely, transparent, and informative communications and consequently gain the trust of players and our employees

  • Support successful culture and reputation management strategies that help our studios retain and attract potential talent.

  • Responsible for creating an environment for the growth and development of your team in alignment with company values and commitment

  • Manage PR agencies.

Experience and Skills

  • 7+ years of experience in Communications, Bachelor's degree desired

  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills, with good attention to detail.

  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously, while prioritizing high-return work.

  • Must be fully fluent in both English and French.

  • Creative thinking, maintaining focus on objectives while driving unique and thoughtful 

executions, new ideas, and best practices.

  • Relationship-builder, adaptable, comfortable problem-solving and collaborating in a global environment.

  • Experience using data and metrics to measure impact and determine improvements

  • Excellent backbone, comfortable and confident to speak up, make recommendations and push back to say no when needed

  • Effectively takes feedback and has experience handling challenging situations.

  • Good proactive nature; taking responsibility and making things happen

  • Ability to work in a highly collaborative environment and roll up their sleeves to get the job done 

  • Passion for gaming and having fun.
