We are seeking a highly experienced and results-oriented Senior Director of User Acquisition to lead our dynamic global team. This pivotal role will be responsible for overseeing all user acquisition strategies and initiatives across multiple countries, managing a department of 50 people who are responsible for acquiring new users for multiple gaming products. The ideal candidate will possess deep, hands-on knowledge of performance marketing and extensive experience in managing managers.
Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute comprehensive global user acquisition strategies to drive growth, optimize ROI, and achieve ambitious performance goals for our gaming products.
- Team Management & Development: Lead, mentor, and develop a large, multi-national team of 50 professionals, including direct reports (Directors/Managers). Foster a culture of high performance, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Performance Marketing Expertise: Provide hands-on guidance and expertise in all aspects of performance marketing, including but not limited to paid social, search engine marketing (SEM), app store optimization (ASO), display advertising, and affiliate marketing, specifically within the gaming industry.
- Budget Management: Oversee and manage significant user acquisition budgets, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and optimal return on investment.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with product, data analytics, and creative teams to ensure alignment of user acquisition efforts with overall business objectives for our gaming products.
- Market Analysis & Insights: Stay abreast of industry trends, competitive landscapes, and emerging technologies in user acquisition, particularly within the gaming sector. Translate market insights into actionable strategies.
- Reporting & Optimization: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs), analyze campaign data, and provide regular reporting on user acquisition performance to senior leadership. Implement iterative optimization processes to maximize efficiency and effectiveness.
What we expect
- Minimum of 10+ years of experience in user acquisition and performance marketing roles, with a proven track record of success in the gaming industry.
- Vast experience (5+ years) in managing managers and leading large, multi-disciplinary teams in a fast-paced, global environment.
- Demonstrable hands-on experience and deep understanding of various performance marketing channels.
- Leadership Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a large team across different cultures and time zones.
- Analytical Acumen: Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
- Strategic Thinking: Proven ability to develop and execute innovative and effective user acquisition strategies.
- Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a dynamic, rapidly evolving environment and adapt strategies as needed.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
