As a Technical Delivery Manager at PulsePoint, a WebMD Health Corp. company, you will manage web application projects across multiple business lines. This role involves close collaboration with technical leads, internal clients, developers, and external vendors. You will be responsible for managing project scopes, timelines, resources, and deployments from planning through implementation. Key duties include facilitating cross-functional communication, ensuring clear status updates, identifying and mitigating risks, and coordinating project meetings. The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of experience in project/delivery management, strong Agile/Scrum knowledge, and proficiency with project tracking tools.
Must have:
  • Manage project scopes, timelines, resources, deployments, and business/technical relationships.
  • Facilitate communication and coordination among cross-functional teams.
  • Ensure project dependencies, milestones, deliverables, and status are clearly communicated.
  • Identify and manage risks to project success and escalate when necessary.
  • Coordinate and conduct regular meetings to review status, resolve issues, and address risks.
  • Ensure project teams follow agreed-to processes (priorities, task management, time tracking).
  • Manage project change requests.

Technical Delivery Manager

WebMD Health Corp., an Internet Brands Company, is the leading provider of health information services, serving patients, physicians, health care professionals, employers, and health plans through our public and private online portals, mobile platforms, and health-focused publications.

This position will focus on supporting PulsePoint, a fast-growing healthcare technology company (with adtech roots) using real-time data to transform healthcare. We help brands and agencies interpret the hard-to-read signals across the health journey and unify these digital determinants of health with real-world data to produce the most dimensional view of the customer. Our award-winning advertising platforms use machine learning and programmatic automation to seamlessly activate this data, making marketing, predictive analytics, and decision support easy and instantaneous.

As a Technical Delivery Manager, you will manage web application projects for multiple business lines, working closely with technical leads, internal clients, developers, external vendors, and cross-disciplinary IT team members.

Responsibilities - for all assigned projects:

  • Manage project scopes, timelines, resources, deployments, and business/technical relationships – from scoping/planning through implementation
  • Facilitate communication and coordination among cross-functional teams
  • Ensure that project dependencies, milestones, deliverables, and status are clearly communicated and understood by the project teams, stakeholders, and management
  • Identify and manage risks to the success of projects and know when and how to escalate
  • Coordinate and conduct regular, effective, and efficient meetings to review project status, resolve issues, and address risks
  • Ensure project teams are following agreed-to processes (priorities, task management, time tracking, etc.)
  • Manage project change requests: training or formal experience in project change management

Qualifications

Required Skills

  • Minimum 1-3 years of project management/delivery management experience in a similar environment or related field, working with geographically distributed development teams
  • Minimum 1-3 years of hands-on experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies
  • Strong understanding of the development processes/full SDLC, and how they relate to project management processes
  • Process improvement experience through Agile Practices
  • Ensure the implementation of best practices in software development and deployment
  • Proven experience with project management tracking/reporting tools (e.g. JIRA/ Confluence, Smartsheet, or similar)
  • Understanding of web technologies to effectively manage risk & complexities within projects, and those that integrate across project teams
  • Experience managing multiple concurrent projects, or a number of project streams under a large program
  • Experience managing project dependencies and blocker issues, developing risk mitigation plans, and escalating when required

Professional Skill Requirements:

  • Ability to work independently, with some management oversight, to manage multiple projects from inception to completion
  • Ability to influence stakeholders and project resources, and negotiate or escalate when competing priorities arise, to meet commitments throughout the project timeline
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills
  • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
  • Works efficiently with resources in multiple locations
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Enjoys a highly collaborative, fast-paced environment and thrives on multi-tasking
  • Strong attention to detail, follow-through, and organizational skills
  • Highly analytical, logical, and good problem-solving skills
  • Ability to interact professionally with all levels of staff

Desired (preferred) Skills:

  • PMI certification: PSM, CSM, PMP, etc.

Education/Certifications:

  • BA or equivalent experience

Salary (annual)

  • $100,000- $110,000 base + $5k target annual bonus based on company and individual performance
  • This is a full-time position

Location and Hours

  • Hybrid in our Newark, NJ office (283-299 Market Street, 4th Floor, Newark, NJ 07102)
  • 9am-6pm EST
