Technical Marketing Specialist – Community Outreach

CORSAIR is seeking a highly motivated Technical Marketing Specialist to join our marketing team in Milpitas CA. At CORSAIR, Technical Marketing is one of the primary voices of our customer internally and is responsible for ensuring that the current industry trends are observed and/or predicted, and communicated clearly to our product development teams to ensure our products exceed the expectations of our customers. In other words, you’d help us make good products great.  

The successful candidate will be the family go-to guy for anything tech related and the person who is always able to give advice on what PC parts work best together. You can put together a PC blindfolded and know where the PWR pins are on the JFP1 header and have used a screwdriver on these on more than one occasion.

You are able to quickly find out why your brand-new rig randomly restarts, solve it and explain the issue either online via our communities, in person, or via a detailed report. To you a motherboard is not just a motherboard, and you like to pick out each individual component that goes into your PC, so it best fits your specific needs.  

You are a frequent contributor to online communities like a subreddit, Discord chat, or social media group where you share your passions about your hobbies and help new members of the community figure out the answers to their questions.

This position is full time in-office at our location in Milpitas, CA. 

Key Responsibilities:
● Engage with end users via our social platforms and Reddit and collect data on trending issues and help guide end-users towards solutions.
● Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices, sharing insights and knowledge with the PC enthusiasts’ communities, such as Reddit and Discord.
● Serve as the face of CORSAIR in online interactions, maintaining a professional and approachable tone while upholding the company’s values, image, and voice in all communications.
● Build and troubleshoot PCs used for photoshoots, events, and product testing, ensuring all hardware and software are up-to-date and working efficiently.
● Collaborate with engineering, product management, and sales teams to create compelling content that effectively highlights the benefits and features of our products.
● Provide support to the marketing team with any ad hoc requests, such as setting up new software or equipment or giving advice on how to best show off our products.
● Assist with educating our in-house sales and marketing staff on upcoming products, ensuring they have the technical knowledge necessary to effectively promote and sell our products.
● Travel to events and trade shows (as needed), both locally and internationally, to support the marketing team with technical expertise and product setup/demonstrations.
 

Essential Skills and Experience:
● Bachelor's degree in marketing, computer science, or a related field preferred.
● Proven experience building and troubleshooting PCs.
● Excellent problem-solving skills with a technical mindset.
● Creative mind with the ability to think outside of the box and produce interesting solutions that go beyond just “building another PC."
● Excellent communication

For roles that are based at our headquarters in Milpitas, CA: The starting base pay for this position is as shown below. The actual base pay is dependent upon a variety of job-related factors such as professional background, training, work experience, location, business needs and market demand. Therefore, in some circumstances, the actual salary could fall outside of this expected range. This pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.  

Annual Salary Range- $70,000—$85,000 USD
